How to upgrade to firmware 2.2.1 without baseband upgrade

Here is the solution It is a custom firmware 2.2.1 that does not do the work shown for the bass band, and you can use it to upgrade without fear of locking the network, meaning that the baseband will remain the same as 2.28. (The baseband is the person in charge of the phone controlling the connection to the networks)

I have prepared two types of this Custem:

The first type It is custom firmware 2.2.1 jailbroken and installed on it Cydia, Instoler and Activated, and you can download it from Here

The second type It is custom firmware 2.2.1 jailbreaker, installed on it Cydia and Installer, and it needs Activate, and you can download it from Here

UserName Download the file: gsmcafe and Password: gsmcafe

اIf your phone is locked to one network, and this network is within your country, such as Mobinil and Vodafone phones for Egyptians, in other words, you are operating one network officially through iTunes and you operate the other networks through Illusno, so use Castem The first type (The name of custom firmware Firmware_2.2.1_Activated_Cydia_Installer.ipsw Zip, change its extension to .ipsw)

If your phone is locked to all your country's networks, such as phones from America, use Castem The second type (The name of custom firmware Firmware_2.2.1_NOT_Activated_Cydia_Installer.ipsw
Zip, change its extension to .ipsw)

After downloading the appropriate custm for your phone, open iTunes, then create a backup for your phone (as the Restore process scans everything on the phone), then press Shift with Restore, choose the custom file, follow the steps, and wait for the restor to finish.

After completing the restore process, you will not need to jailbreak the phone, just activate the phone for devices that are open on one network, and then install the Yellosn0w program to run the phone on the rest of the networks if you want that, and if you do not want it, you can do that at any time after that.

For devices that are locked on all networks, install the Yellosn0w program from Cydia to run the phone on all networks.
