Among the advantages of the iOS system is the Voice Control feature, of course we are talking about the voice control feature on the iPhone 4, the fourth generation iPod touch and the iPad, and this is of course different from Siri. The voice control service allows the user to give some simple commands with the voice when pressing the Home button for a long time, for example the user can call anyone, whether a phone call or FaceTime and other advantages, but the problem with this service with the Arab user is the same problem with the new Siri technology, which is that the phone recognizes Only for the names registered in the English language, and the Arab user has no choice but to change the names to English, and the second option is to waive the use of this service. However, there is some way for you to contact people without changing the names of those registered.

As we said, perhaps the easiest is to convert the names of your friends into English and you are also fluent in this language, but you used to see the name of the caller in Arabic, so converting these names will notify you when you see a connection and look at the name of the caller and you see a name in the English language in addition to the difficulty of recognizing Arabic names. There is an additional Apple feature for the phone that solves this problem, which is adding a nickname and a phoneme. This method not only enables you to use voice dialing, but also shows you the name of the caller in Arabic as you used to see it. You can also call the person by the way you pronounce his name, and this method is suitable for all languages and dialects even the Arabic dialect.
If you want to try this method, go to any caller you have and click on Edit in the top right and go to the field Add field as shown in the picture.

You will see several additions, we are interested in only two parts, namely Nickname: It is specific to the name that you will say to the device as the name of the caller andPhonetic first It is the name that the phone will say to you before calling, so that you know that the correct person has been contacted.
Click on the first voice, and it will be added and automatically return you to the previous page, so click again on Add field and add the nickname until the caller looks like the following:

Now it is your turn to enter the names for For the nickname Enter the name in English and in the way that you like and not as you write the word. For example, if your friend is called Tarek, write Tarek or Tareeq according to what you say the word and it does not matter that you write the name in the correct way for him, but with your pronunciation.
Phonetic first As we explained above, it only matters to you if you are afraid that the device will incorrectly understand the caller's name and then call another person. You write the name that you want the phone to say for you before calling the person required to know that he is a correct person:

As we can see above, I wrote the phonetic name and the nickname BnSamy, while the correct writing of the name is BinSamy, but I wrote it the way I will pronounce it and after writing the names press (Done) then to do the experiment and press the Home button for a long time and then make the call and pronounce the Call (the name that you registered in Last name) and the phone will call as in the picture.

As we can see in the picture, the device called, and the name Muhammad Sami appeared, and the nickname that we wrote did not appear, and in the event that there is more than one phone registered, it will ask you which one you want to call. It should be noted that this method is suitable for improving communication even for people who have registered names in English, but in this case a phonetic name should not be recorded because the phone will pronounce the name already in the phone in English. The recording of the name is phonetic only in the case of names in Arabic.
Are you using the voice control feature? Do you find it practical? Did you feel better about it after iOS 5.0?
