IPhone is a phone; This is the fact that Apple insists not admit; You find it ignoring many of the basic phone functions, for example, you do not receive a notification of the arrival of your “SMS” message, and the phone does not tell you that you are on standby on whom you call and other basic phone functions; Among the restrictions added by Apple is that you cannot choose any audio file in your device as the ringtone; In this article, we review how we can convert audio files into an iPhone ringtone.

In iOS 6, Apple allowed you to choose any audio file on the device as an alarm tone. But it did not allow reciprocity in ringtones and you could not choose any MP3 file as ringtone; But you have to convert it first to the M4r extension, which is the extension for ringtones, and also the length of the tone must be less than 40 seconds; Unfortunately, you cannot do this directly through the phone, but you need an external application.
This way, you will not be limited to specific ringtones and will be able to convert any MP3 to be your unique ringtone.
Windows:
There are a large number of applications that can make iPhone ringtones, but we will explain the Format Factory application because it is free and supports the Arabic language and also can be used in several uses later; However, you can choose any other application as an alternative to it, provided you reach the same results.
Method:
1 From your computer, download the application from the company's website Via this link.
2 Open the application and you can change the language by clicking on “Languages” and selecting “More Languages”, then choose the language that suits you.
3 Select “Voice” then choose “All to M4r”.

4 Add audio files to your device.
Now if you press OK and then start, the application will convert the audio file to the desired tone and extension; But the length will be like the original file and maybe more than 40 seconds, so it will not work on the iPhone, so you must specify the desired tone length.
5 Click on "Set a Domain".

6 Now choose any clip you want from the audio file and choose the beginning and the end, provided that the difference is less than 40 seconds.

7 Now press OK:

Note at number 1: it shows you where to save the product file.
Note at number 2: The selected range appears.
8 Click Start at the top:

9 Now drag ringtones and place them in iTunes.
10 Select “Sync ringtones”, then perform the “sync” process, and you will find the tones appear on your device.

Mac devices
1 Download the Adapter app from this link.
2 Open the application and place the files you want to convert.

3Choose to convert files into iPhone ringtones as follows:

4 Now, press Start to start converting files, and note where the produced files will be saved, as in the following picture:

5 Put the ringtones, then sync them with iTunes, as indicated in steps 9 and 10 in Windows.
