We live in the world of smartphones, this is the truth, as the conflict between companies has become the one who makes the strongest operating system and provides better imaging, internet and business services, but where did our Arab world reach in the operating system struggle? What is the country whose citizens use Apple devices the most? Which country deserves the title of Android stronghold? What is Nokia’s position in our Arab world, and has it regressed as it did globally? In this article, we review numbers and statistics about smart devices in our Arab world.

World Statistics
Before we start reviewing where the Arab countries arrived in smart devices, let us see globally the devices and operating systems in them. The highest percentage of Apple users (relative to the population) is in Australia, and it reached 68%, then Switzerland 63%, then Sweden 62% and Canada 61%, and the Android strongholds come. Samsung is native to South Korea with 91%, Myanmar 89%, Mongolia 73%, China 72%, and Slovenia 69%.

As for the main markets, they were as follows:
- America 52% Apple and 39% Android
- Japan: 52% Apple and 45% Android
- China 11% Apple and 72% Android.
- Russia: 24% Apple and 41% Android
- France 48% Apple and 43% Android
- England 48% Apple and 35% Android
India and Pakistan are the least market in which there are Apple devices, where the percentage reaches 1%, while the percentage of Androids in them reaches 18-20%, respectively.
Our Arab world
The statistics indicate a major conflict in the forefront of operating systems in our Arab world between Android and the Symbian family of Nokia, and Apple's operating ratios varied, and the highest rates were as follows:
- Kuwait 36%
- Lebanon 23%
- Saudi Arabia 22%
- Bahrain 21%
- Tunisia 20%

As for the lowest operating percentages of Apple, it is as follows:

As for the Arabian Gulf, Symbian came at the top of 3 countries, as follows:
- Sultanate of Oman 46%

From these statistics, we find that the highest countries operating both Apple and Android systems are:
- Lebanon 78%
- Bahrain 75%
- Kuwait 74%
- Iraq 71%

Telephone companies
We mentioned in the upper part the operating systems, but for the manufacturers, the numbers may differ slightly because Android comes from a large number of companies, Samsung and Nokia competed for the top of the Arab countries, while Apple’s share was less than them, of course (except for Kuwait).
