All about gestures in iOS

Since the release of iOS 4.3, Apple has been interested in gestures in its system, and what is meant by gestures - are the movements of one or more fingers on the screen, whether swipe left and right or pinch, and perform a number of specific functions. And in the recent update of iOS 7, Apple added a lot of new gestures, so we decided to present an article that collects all the gestures in the system.

In all devices:

New features that have been added in iOS 7 and work in all devices, whether iPhone, iPad or iPod touch:

  • Swiping from left to right in Settings takes you back to the previous page.
  • Swiping down on any page (screen) opens the search.
  • Inside Safari, dragging from the left edge of the screen inwards takes you to the previous page, and also if you swipe from the right of the screen inward, it goes to the next page.

  • Dragging applications in Multitasking to the top removes them, and you can drag more than one application at a time.
  • In Safari, dragging any tab to the left deletes the tab.

  • Swiping from top to bottom opens the notification center.
  • Swiping on any message (text) to the left shows the timing of its sending.

  • When a notification arrives for your device, pulling that notification up will hide it.
  • Pulling on any message in the email it shows you options for deleting, archiving, and more.

  • Swiping from the edge of the screen upwards opens the Control Center.

Gestures on iPad

It is considered the most popular among users and the most popular as it appeared with iOS 4.3, and you can read our previous article Via this link To get to know it better, there are 3 gestures as follows:

  • Swiping four / five fingers upward opens you to multitasking (such as double pressing the Home button).
  • Swipe left and right with four / five fingers to move between the open programs.
  • Pinching with four / five fingers will close the application (such as pressing once on the home button).

Watch the video to get to know it:

Remember, you can create your own “Gestures” with the touch assistant, as we explained earlier In a previous article, As you can review this link Learn about gestures in different applications.

What is the most "gesture" you use in the system? Do you think that using it makes it easier for you to deal with your device?

Hi
In ios7, when combined with 5 fingers, to close the app, sometimes you get hung up or hang around
The device does not respond again except by closing the iPad and then reopening it
Note that I have an iPad 3
Please help me in this matter, knowing that I wrote to you in the past and did not receive any reply from you

Thanks for all of this, there are gestures when we turn on the virtual home button. In fact, I couldn't figure out how to use it, how much I liked the gesture that Google added in the Maps application when we click twice and in a second we swipe up and down without lifting a finger to activate the zoom in and out of the maps, how effective it is, and unfortunately Apple did not discover it Before, and how effective it is while working with one hand, I wished to see it in Apple systems and used in images, texts as pdf as well as maps, it might cost it to pay the property rights if it used it as it did itself with Samsung, and maybe another idea would be revealed to us instead of This gesture, you do not remember the zoom gesture when turning with three fingers and swipe up or down to enlarge the screen size regardless of the width until the application icons get bigger. Of course, Google made the idea available to Apple from the latter. Thank .

A new Dari feature is not important, that if you open the camera, you can shoot by simply pressing the two volume buttons

Gestures are generally useful, as they help the Home button to reduce pressure to avoid malfunctioning

Why don't we see an explanation of Apple applications such as iPhoto, BigS, Keynote and others
Is it because of its price, I would just like to say that it is necessary to explain it, especially since the number of its users has increased since the issuance of IOS XNUMX
And also explaining the rest of the free Apple applications is useful
I saw you oblivious to that, so you made a mistake
