We often receive questions from our followers about how to transfer applications to the computer, so every time you will do a Restore, you will have to download the applications again. Of course there is always another solution out of the box. Therefore, we decided to create an article explaining how to transfer purchases and make a backup copy with iTunes. This is a continuation of the iTunes learning series that we explained in it How to sync files و How to watch translated videos on your device.

iTunes-12

In the beginning, before you do anything, you must make your computer a "documented" device. Without this step, if you synchronize the applications with the computer, everything will be deleted from the phone and the applications on the computer will be loaded onto it. To make your device authenticated, open iTunes and from the top select Store, then authenticate the device as in the following picture:

The device will ask you for the password for your account, and that's it. Now any applications that you download on the computer sync without problems with the phone and vice versa as well, you will not lose any applications and will not delete any files. You can now download the files directly to your computer.

How do I download applications from the computer?

Sometimes we may get bored of our use of mobile devices and want to spend some time on the computer. Apple has given us the ability to download applications from the computer using iTunes. To download applications, you can:

  1. Open iTunes and from the drop-down menu, head to the Apps section.Apps
  2. In the top menu, you will find your applications, updates, and more ... Go to the "App Store".App Store

From here you can buy and download the applications you want, and after downloading them, you will find them in the My Apps section of the top menu.

Auto download stunt

One of the great things, but many iPhone users do not benefit from it is the automatic download feature, which enables you to download an application from a phone and find it in all other devices. Here's how to take advantage of it:

After verifying your account as above, go from your phone or iPad to Settings> "iTunes & App Stores", then activate Automatic Downloads for applications.

Automatic Download

Now, from your computer, browse the software store, then click download for any application. Once the download starts, cancel it and go to another application and another and another and so on click download and then wait for seconds until it starts, then cancel the download. Then go to your phone (or iPad) and you will find all these applications downloaded to it. This is great if you want to download different apps on multiple devices at the same time. If you have an iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, all of them are linked to your account, you will find the applications downloaded in all of them (you need a Wi-Fi connection for applications above 100 MB).

With iTunes, you can transfer all applications, books, movies, and anything that you have purchased from iTunes to your computer, and you can re-download them to your device after the restor finishes. With the new iTunes 12 to transfer purchases, do the following steps:

  1. Open iTunes and select the device whose purchases you want to transfer.Transfer-01

How to get the application file?

Yesterday we talked about AnyTrans -this linkOne of its advantages is that you can download any application on any device with an IPA file, so how can you get this file?

Open iTunes, then go to the Applications section as we explained at the beginning of the article, and you will see all the applications that are on your computer. Now you can transfer the file of any application in two ways, which are either dragging the application and dropping it into any folder on your computer, and the other option is to click "Right Click" and then choose Show in Finder, or it will show you where all the applications are stored on your device.

iTunes Apps

This is very useful. If you are thinking of downloading a new “Windows” for your device, you do not have to lose all the applications. Take the previous step, then transfer them again to iTunes after the new system has finished downloading.
