Suddenly and unexpectedly, Apple sent iOS 8.3 beta to developers for testing. What makes it unexpected is that Apple has not yet released iOS 8.2, and there is news that it will be released perhaps a month later. Apart from the order of the update, what is new in iOS 8.3 that Apple sent?

What's new in the iOS 8.3 beta released by Apple?

The upcoming version 8.2 is to support the Apple Watch and run its own applications. As for iOS 8.3, the first beta version of it was released yesterday, the most important advantages were:

Wireless CarPlay Service:

Apple's car system is known to be called CarPlay - see this link More about it - so far it works by cable, meaning you have to connect your phone to the car when riding to work. But the update came to enable you to connect it wirelessly, meaning you will not need to have a cable in your car. The service will work by Wi-Fi and Volvo has previously revealed that it will support this technology in its next car (wireless connectivity).

New emoji shapes:

One of the great things in iOS is that the system includes by default a large number of emoji, which is why companies like WhatsApp provide their application without the need to add emoji to it because it is in the system. At Stare 8.3 Apple will change the shape of the icons to make them larger, clearer, and easier to use.

Google Security System Support:

There is a global trend now from companies for what is called “two-step verification”. When you want to log in for the first time in your account, you are asked to take an additional step to ensure that you are the owner of the account. In iOS 8.3, Apple added support for the two steps for authentication for Google accounts when logging into them from Apple devices.

  • Apple has added several other updates to Apple Pay in China.
  • Apple Pay supports different shipping methods so that companies can use it to pay fees.

Update 8.3 so far is beta and developer only and is not available for download or upgrade for regular users

What do you think of the features that Apple will specialize in iOS 8.3? And when do you expect the update to be released?
