Craig Fedrigi is Apple's vice president of Software Engineering. Craig works as a supervisor and developer of the programming department for iOS and the Mac OS X operating system, meaning he is responsible for technically developing all operating systems for Apple devices.

Craig previously worked for NeXT, which was founded by Steve Jobs after he was excluded from Apple, a company that provides software solutions to universities and higher education bodies, and continued his job there until 1996, the year when Jobs returned to Apple, which also acquired NeXT. Then Craig moved to Apple from 1996 until 1999. Then Craig moved to Ariba, a company working in corporate IT, where he worked for ten years, then returned to Apple in 2009 as head of OS X development and continued in his position until the 2012 disaster of maps and its time. The company decided to dismiss (accept resignation) the head of the iOS development department and his former colleague at NeXT and Apple "Scott Forrestal". Here, Tim Cook decided to merge the iOS and Mac departments into one division under the chairmanship of Craig. And in less than a year, we began to see the biggest changes in the history of iOS, starting from the version of iOS 7.0 until now, which has become the main feature is the convergence of the Mac system and iOS and this is normal because they are actually under one management, which is Craig Fedrigi.

Craig is now responsible for reviewing the new features in the iOS system or the Mac system at all Apple conferences and has supervised the release of iOS 7, iOS 8 and iOS 9 and currently working on iOS 10, which will be revealed at the WWDC conference next year. As well as overseeing Apple's new "Swift" language and converting it to an open source language.


Education and personal life

Craig graduated from Aqualanese High School and due to his interest in technology and its development, he was encouraged to enroll in the University of California at UCLA and obtain a BA in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He then obtained a master's degree in computer science from the University of California as well, which is one of the oldest American universities, as it was established in 1868 and has an endowment of $ 3.91 billion to administer and there are 72 Nobel Prizes won by university graduates.

Craig, born in 1970, is 45 years old, and has been married for a year and has a daughter.
