Two weeks ago, we published a series of teaching to use the iOS system in a different way, so that each article specialized in a specific point explaining to the user from simple basic points to professional matters. The beginning was with the keyboard -this link-. In our article today, we will talk about the Apple Safari browser and how it can get the most out of it.

Tricks for using Safari like a pro

1

Search directly: Although it may seem an intuitive point, you find some users when they want to search for something they open the Google website. The box at the top is where you can type the site as well as anything you want to search for in any language. No need to open the search engine website.

2

Change your search engine: Some people may not prefer Google for one reason or another, or want privacy and prefer the famous DuckDuckGo search engine. In this case, go to Settings> Safari> Search Engine> and choose the right one for you. For those who do not know DuckDuckGo, it is a popular search engine for privacy lovers, as it does not monitor the user and collect information about him as Google, Yahoo and Microsoft do in their search engines.

Reading Mode: We talked about it in detail in our article on tricks to trick your mind and save time -this link-. In short, on some sites, a mark consisting of three lines appears next to the website address, and by clicking on it, all the annotations from ads and banners are removed, and only the text content remains. You can control it by choosing the background color, font type and size as well. Reading lovers should use this mode.

Location on screen: One of the things that many people may not know is that they can create an icon on the screen of their device, like any icon for applications, but this icon opens a specific website. If you want to experiment, open any site, let it be ours, then press the share button and choose to add a screen.

Twitter Links: Are you a fan of Twitter? Safari enables you to see tweets of people you follow that contain links. Click on the "book-like" favorite icon, and you will find three options, from which the @ option appears. By clicking on it, you can see tweets directly from Twitter (displaying only tweets with links) and by clicking on any tweet, Safari will open its link for you. Isn't that cool?

* Twitter must be added in the device's settings in order to take advantage of this feature.

But what many people don't know is that the Safari app includes the same feature. Open any article, press the share button, and select Add to Reading List.
