The iPhone comes with many default applications that not everyone uses, but not much is known what is the benefit of many of them in the first place, so Apple has always been asked to allow the deletion of applications and indeed it has become possible to delete applications (somewhat), but in this series we decided to teach our followers how to become professional. Many of the abandoned Apple apps might be of interest or of interest. Today we are talking about the "Find iPhone" app.

Master Apple [2]: Find iPhone

What is the application?

Find iPhone is an application that enables you to track the location of an iPhone, iPad, or any Apple device that belongs to you, and also perform many steps such as wiping data remotely or playing a sound on it. The image above shows the app's splash screen, in which the app locates all devices that have been registered with your Apple account.

Get started using the app

When the devices are located, they move to the screen shown in the picture, where only the devices connected to the Internet are located - even if the device contains a GPS chip, technically, the service needs an internet connection to do anything, so it is preferable to keep the data package working on the phone as well as Wi-Fi.

Choose your device

When you select a device from the list (the MacBook in my case), it will be located on the displayed map and give you several options at the bottom. The first option on the right is that it allows you to display your location on the map (useful if the device’s location is different from your location, but in my case, I and the device are in one location). The next important choice is “Actions” and when you press it, the menu shown in the image on the left appears, which is There are four symbols in it, the first of which is the car icon next to the name of the device, which takes you to the Apple Maps application to start directing the device on the map, the next option (the first on the right side) is to play a sound and it is very useful if you lost the device in your home, for example, so the device plays a sound you can Track him when searching for it. The third option is to lock the device and it locks the device to prevent it from being used by a stranger. The last option is to wipe all the data on the device where you can do this remotely via the application in order to prevent any intrusion or data theft from you.

Other choices

Here we show other options that you can see. The options are very similar to the previous window except that the device in the image is locked and cannot be found. In this case, you will find new options which are "lost mode" and "Notify when found." The latter sends a notification to you when the lost device connects to the Internet, meaning that it has been found by someone. As for the lost mode, it allows you to lock the device with a password if it is not already closed and it enables you to display a message such as how to communicate with you if someone finds it, but these two features only work when the lost device connects to the Internet, but the lost mode also provides you with preventing all bank cards from communicating with The device will immediately stop the Apple Pay service on the device, even if the device does not connect to the Internet.

another thing

When you open the application, you will also receive a notification asking you to allow the iPhone to track its location at intervals in order to store it and can send the last known location 24 hours after the battery runs out or the internet is cut off, and this may be very useful.

What do you think of the iPhone finder app? Do you use the service on the cloud?
