This series is considered the most successful in the history of our site, and it received tens of millions of total visits, and through it, millions of applications were downloaded. But what is the secret of this series, when did it start, and what are the challenges it faces now?
On Friday, September 9, 2010, that is, almost 6 and a half years ago, we published our first article - see the first article in the series from this link- And this time was the beginning of a strong spread of the iPhone in the Arab world, but many users are not aware of new applications or those that support the Arabic language. So, engineer Tariq Mansour, founder of the company, thought at the time to publish a weekly article in which he searched for 7 applications and presented them in a simple and fast way to the user. This idea was very attractive and personally I was waiting for this series - I started the series more than a year before I joined the company - and I was a follower of the site at that time and I eagerly awaited it every week and I almost download all the suggested applications.
With the passage of days, this series began to attract its followers only, as it came to the fact that the rate of visits to an article on Friday became double the normal days. That is, there are those who visit Islam's iPhone on Friday only to read the article and know the suggestions. Then the Arab websites specialized in Apple began to spread, and we were very pleased that they began publishing a weekly article for applications with the same concept as our site. If anything, this indicates the success of the series of articles and their popularity and that they planted a concept in the Arab world.
Seven articles and the future
There are complaints we get from some of our followers that they are not finding good apps. The truth is that it is difficult, the applications are repetitive and most of the ideas are presented dozens of times. Therefore, we decided for diversity to change who is responsible for the series more than once, so it was transferred between Ben Sami, Bello, Annaba and Karim, hoping to change the "mentality and style" in which the applications are chosen. It improved a little, but complaints remain, so we want to share the article together, as this series was created for you, so we invite you to participate in the future of the series in several ways, namely:
