We used to for a long time to restart the iPhone using a simple method, which is pressing the Home and Power button until we see the Apple sign, but since the iPhone 7 this method began to change because there is no home button (the home button has become a sensitive and not a real button), so the pressure became On the volume and power button at length and we thought that the iPhone 8 should be similar, but surprising ... the method is different.

You know how Apple changed the way to restart iPhone 8

It's a little trickier

To force restart iPhone 8, you need to do three steps:

1

Press and quickly release the volume up button.

2

Press and quickly release the volume down button.

3

Press and hold the Power button until the Apple sign appears, then release it.

This was more complicated than usual, wasn't it? We do not know why Apple decided to resort to this system, especially since it uses the method that has not changed with the iPhone 7 or other devices, so the matter is not a general change but rather for the iPhone 8.

How to enter DFU mode

DFU mode is the mode used to "Restore" the device when there is a problem with working the subject directly by pressing the button in the iTunes program, and fortunately Apple did not change its method and it remained the same as the following:

(Do not try to put your device in the DFU. This mode is only for critical cases when your device crashes, and you cannot open it)

1

Close the iPhone completely, then connect it to the computer and make sure that the iTunes program is working.

2

Press and hold the power button for three seconds.

3

With the power button still pressed, press the volume down button and hold both for ten seconds. Be careful not to press for more time than required, and the Apple sign should not appear, otherwise you will have to repeat the steps again.

4

Release the power button and hold the volume down button for five seconds (note that the screen should remain black and if an iTunes sign appears on the screen, the steps must be repeated, making sure that the device is connected to iTunes).

5

If you did the previous steps correctly, then a dialog box should appear on iTunes informing you that a device was captured in recovery mode and you must restore it before it can be used with iTunes. All you have to do now is agree and press the button "Restore iPhone".

Note: To cancel the process, just press the volume down button and the power button together until the Apple sign appears, also if you want to perform any of these operations on any device other than the iPhone 7, then repeat them in the same order, but with the replacement of the volume down button with the home button.

Do you use the iPhone restart method a lot? What are the cases that you use it in?
