As expected, iOS 11.4 is now available for download. As Apple IOS 11.3 launched not long agoThere aren't many updates to Apple's apps in iOS 11.4, but instead Apple has brought in two major new features that we've been waiting for for a while ... AirPlay 2 and Messages in iCloud. Of course, Apple has solved many problems in this version, and there is also a special new background for the red RED iPhone, which is in harmony with the color of the device.


What's new in the iOS 11.4 update

IOS 11.4 includes multi-room audio playback via AirPlay 2, as well as support for HomePod stereo pairs and messages in iCloud. This update also includes bug fixes and improvements.

AirPlay 2

● Control your home audio system and AirPlay 2-enabled speakers in your home

● Play music on multiple AirPlay 2-enabled speakers in your home at the same time

Control AirPlay 2-enabled speakers from Control Center, the lock screen, or AirPlay controls inside apps on an iPhone or iPad

Use your voice to control AirPlay 2-enabled speakers through Siri on iPhone, iPad, HomePod or Apple TV

Take a call or play a game on your iPhone or iPad without interrupting the music playback on your AirPlay 2-enabled headphones

HomePod stereo pair

● This update supports setting up a HomePod stereo pair using an iPhone or iPad

● The HomePod pair automatically senses its location in the room and then balances sound based on the location of the speakers

● The advanced ray-shaping technology delivers a wider sound range than a conventional stereo pair

The HomePod will automatically update to support stereo pairs, unless automatic updates are disabled from the Home app

Messages in iCloud

● Store your messages, photos, and other attachments in iCloud to free up storage space on your device

● All of your messages appear when you log in to a new device that uses the same iMessage account

● When you delete messages and chats, they will be removed immediately from all of your devices

● To turn on the Messages feature in iCloud, enable the Messages settings in iCloud; From Settings> [Your Name]> iCloud

● Your conversations will remain fully encrypted

Other improvements and fixes

Enable teachers to assign reading activities to their students in iBooks using the Schoolwork app

● Addressing a problem in the Messages application resulting from the succession of certain letters, which causes the application to suddenly stop working

Addresses an issue with the Messages app that could cause some messages to appear in the wrong order

Addresses an issue that could prevent signing in or accessing files on Google Drive, Google Docs, and Gmail in Safari

Fixed an issue that could prevent data from syncing in the Health app

Fixed an issue that could prevent users from changing apps that can access health data

● Resolves an issue that could cause the app to appear incorrectly on the Home screen

Fixed an issue that caused CarPlay audio to be distorted

Fixes an issue where selecting music from iPhone failed when playing music via Bluetooth or when connected to USB in some cars


Before updating, be sure to take a backup copy of the contents of your device, whether on the iCloud or the iTunes application
