Among the most distinctive things that you will notice in iOS 12 are wide changes in notifications and the way they are displayed, as many tools have been integrated that improve the way to deal with them in a faster and easier way than before. Here are the most important of these new features.

Bulk notifications
After promising the return of grouped notifications over the years, here it is back in iOS 12 Multiple notifications will be grouped, each app separately instead of the previous mess.
You can click the "X" next to the group of notifications to delete it once, or by swiping to the right or left, depending on the phone's language.
From the settings, you can change how notifications are displayed. Go to Settings - Notifications - and choose Notification Grouping, you will find three options:

◉ automatic: Where the system controls the way notifications are displayed and sorted, whether grouped or individual. In this method, you may get two sets of notifications for one application, such as two different people sending you an email, or multiple conversations via the messaging application.
◉ Depending on the applicationLike: to display all notifications from an application grouped without sorting such as automatic mode.
◉ turning off: Disable this feature for any application and activate it only for a specific application such as messages, for example.
Instant setting of notifications
It is a feature that allows managing notifications on the lock screen directly, and this gives you the tools to stop notifications from an application or send them to the notification center. You can also use instant adjustment through the settings as well, or by 3D Touch and long press on any notification or on the three points above the notification.
When you pull out any notification and click on Manage, it shows the following options:

◉ "Deliver Quietly" or "Deliver Quietly" option so that the notification is in the notification center and it will not be on the lock screen. To reverse this, click on the notification for the app in the notification center and select "Deliver Prominently", which is clearly displayed on the lock screen.
◉ View option to see and display the notification.
◉ Clear All option to delete group notifications at once.
Note: In iOS 12, the system will send alerts if you want to continue to receive notifications from a specific application from which you receive notifications continuously and do not interact with them. You will find the "Manage" option to be able to access the online configuration settings for this application.
Important or critical alerts
Important alerts are a new type of notifications in iOS 12 that do not stop them even in Do Not Disturb mode, as they definitely come to you and must be watched.
These alerts are very limited and are available for health, homeland security, and public safety information. For example, a diabetic can set important alerts to monitor the level of sugar in the blood, when it is low, alerts are sent to him, even in the non-disturbance and silent mode, it exceeds all that for safety. Therefore, they are very specific for certain applications, so they do not fall within the scope of annoying alerts. And if you are a developer and you have an application that you want to put the important alerts feature in, then you must apply to Apple and you will see if your application deserves that feature or not. For your information, there will also be an option to turn off or turn on alerts for that application.
The number of notifications at screen time
The Screen Time feature is designed to provide you with the tools to monitor when and how you use your iOS devices, thereby keeping track of all notifications sent by apps, letting you know which apps are working most on your device.

This information can help you decide whether you want to keep notifications on or off for a specific app. You can do this through Settings - Screen Time - All Devices, then scroll down and see notifications from the last 24 hours or even a week.
Rich notifications
In iOS 12, application developers can create notifications that you can interact with on the lock screen by entering the username and password without having to open the iPhone and then the application.

For example, in the Instagram application, if a notification is sent to a friend's post, you may be able to view the image, interact with it, comment on it, and add others, all from notifications only.
