In the past few days, another problem has appeared in some iPhone 8 devices, and we do not know if this sequence will continue with every version of the iPhone, starting with the iPhone 6, then the iPhone 7, then today the iPhone 8 and tomorrow any - iPhone 9, 10 and so on. What is the truth behind the malfunction that Apple admitted to the iPhone 8 devices? What actions has Apple taken about this matter? Follow us ...

Apple has warned its customers through Its official website On the Internet, it was found that some iPhone 8 models had a manufacturing defect in the motherboard. And Apple said that a very small percentage of iPhone 8 models had this defect. But it causes issues like restarting, screen freezing and unresponsiveness or the device being unable to boot. In fact, that language is typical of Apple, as it previously described the infamous MacBook Butterfly keyboard the same way, and the defect is found in very few as well.

This defect does not affect the iPhone X or 8 Plus. Apple says that the affected devices are the ones that were sold between September 2017 and March 2018 in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Macau, New Zealand and the United States of America.

The reform program

Apple has put in place a way to know if your phone is in this affected category or not. Simply, you can enter the serial number of your device on the Apple Repair page HereTo see if your device is eligible for this defect. To get the serial number, go to Settings> General> About.

The program covers iPhone devices sold up to three years after the first retail sale of the device in September 2017, and if your phone is in that category, Apple will change the motherboard for free.

Apple recommends that you back up the contents of your affected device to i-Cloud or through iTunes before the repair process. The company also recommends fixing any other problems such as broken screen or any damage that hinders the ability to complete the repair process before replacing the motherboard, otherwise there will be additional costs associated with additional repairs that may be very costly. It is expected that you receive the device running the latest version of the operating system.

Owners of affected devices have three options:

◉ Go to Apple Certified Technicians.

◉ Set an appointment to go to an Apple store to perform the repair.

Email the phone to Apple TV. In those cases, it is recommended that you make a backup as we mentioned and erase all data on your device through Settings> General> Reset> Erase All Content and Settings.

The tale in which “the”

Recognition of the problem is a wonderful thing, and the most wonderful thing is to ensure that this problem is solved for free, but the late recognition and before the launch of the new phones makes us look back a little, starting with the iPhone 6 Plus phones in 2016 and problems with touch or the appearance of a gray bar at the top of the screen, which lasted quite a number. It has one of the phones of this class, and the iPhone 6 Plus curvature problem. And other problems in the iPhone 7, you can see the article “Apple may face major problems with the iPhone 7 devices“All these problems were recognized by Apple and ensured that they were fixed, but the recognition of the problem came too late.

Why late admission? We know that it takes some time to discover that the problem has affected a fair number of devices, but certainly not that long and certainly not before we launch a new phone.

What do you think of these problems? Is it a good step for Apple in following up with its customers and working to solve their problems and satisfy them? Or is the story in which “the” is indeed? Let us know what you think in the comments.
