Apple announces several systems every summer in June, and updates to the iPhone - and perhaps now the hour - take the most attention due to the large number of users of these systems. But there is a hidden hero that Apple is constantly updating and has users who want to follow the new one as well, which is the Mac system, which came with its new name Mojave (pronounced in Arabic “Mojave”), which is an interesting update for his fans. Since an update was released a few days ago, here's a new system.

What's new in Mojave Mac system

Dark Mode

Finally, Apple decided to adopt a dark mode in the Mac system. And it's gorgeous and brings out the colors on the Retina screen a lot, as Apple bragged at the conference. Will this be the beginning of adding the night mode to the iPhone?

Dynamic backgrounds

wait! Dynamic wallpapers are not animated like those for iPhone. They are rather wallpapers that change with time in the day! For example, the basic system image is an image representing the Mojave Desert, after which the system is named. You can choose to set dynamic backgrounds to make the desert look change with time, so you notice the location of the dim sunlight on the hill in the early morning, then the brightness increases according to the time of day, then the sun begins to fall on the other side until night comes, so the image becomes a dark desert. Also, a designer was able to create a dynamic wallpaper himself, which means that the possibility exists to add more without waiting for Apple.

Stacks of files

The coolest desktop update since the desktop was invented in computers. As this place has been destined for it from time immemorial to be crowded with a lot of files and it is difficult to organize, but in Mohave, Apple has added stacks of files and it automatically organizes the surface of books according to the type of files. All images are stacked, all PDF files are stacked, etc. Also, you can arrange the stacks according to the date of adding / working on them or special tags. You only have to when you want a file to click on the heap to reveal all the files in it and then you can return the heap to its place for a wonderful desktop continuously.

Quick look

The Quick View feature has been around for a long time on the Mac, as it works by pointing to a file and then pressing the spacebar or deep pressing the force touch tracker, and the feature displays the file quickly without the need to open the application running it. What is new here is that Apple has added the ability to edit images directly from the Quick look window.

Screen capture

Now when shooting the screen, a miniature version of the image appears at the bottom of the screen, which you can click to edit or share before saving. You can also press Shift + Command + 5 buttons to select a specific part of the screen to shoot or record a video with many additional shooting features.

Photo using the best camera

Maybe one day you wanted to photograph a picture or copy a paper document and then transfer it to the Mac, at that time you had to photograph it using the iPhone then transfer it via AirDrop. It is not very difficult, but now, using this feature, you can click on the "import from iphone" option in the drop-down task list (by pressing the trackpad with two fingers or pressing with one button while pressing the control, according to your shortcut) then the camera will appear on the iPhone to capture The image is then transferred directly to the Mac without any interference from you.

IOS apps

There were rumors for a while about Apple wanting to allow iOS applications to work on the Mac, and indeed Apple decided to do something similar, as the company started a long-term project that allows the developer of iOS applications to transfer them to the Mac by changing simple parts in the code of the application software without having to rewrite it from the beginning and this Great incentive for developers. Apple began testing its own applications, as it moved the Home applications to control the smart home, the voice notes application, the news application, and finally the stock application.

Safari

For several updates, Apple has focused on security in safari, and this update is no different. Apple has added a feature that prevents websites from tracking you by creating a "fingerprint" for your device, and as Apple explains, the sites will now see all Mac devices only as a "Mac", meaning you know that it is Muhammad's device or Noor's device.

Apple also added a simple but useful feature which is to display site icons on all windows to quickly move between them. You can enable the feature by going to Safari -> Preferences -> tabs -> then tick show website icons in tabs.

New app store design

Finally, Apple has revamped the design of the Mac App Store, as it has become more like iOS in terms of basic design thinking with stories about apps and a simpler and more intuitive design with images that fill the screen.

What do you think of the new Mac features? Do you think that dark mode is coming to the iPhone soon?
