Here is the update that comes to complement our joy with the best iOS 12, and the update was launched immediately after Apple conference ends IOS 12.1 supports group FaceTime, adds more than 70 new emoji, and includes dual SIM support with an eSIM. This update also contains bug fixes and improvements.

The iOS 12.1 update contains the following:

Face time
● Add support for video and audio calls with up to 32 participants simultaneously.

● Calls are fully encrypted to ensure that your conversations are kept private.

● Initiate a group FaceTime conversation from a group conversation in the Messages app or join an active call at any time.

Emoji
● More than 70 new emoji characters, including new characters with red hair, gray hair, curly hair, new baldness emoji, more expressive smiley faces, and additional emoji for animals, sports, and food.

Dual SIM support
● Dual SIM support with an eSIM to allow the use of two numbers in one device for the iPhone XS, XR and XS Max.

Other improvements and fixes
Introducing the Depth Control feature in the camera preview for iPhone XS, XR, and XS Max.

Improved cellular connectivity for iPhone XS, XR, and XS Max.

● Adding the ability to change or reset the Screen ID passcode for your child using Face ID or Touch ID.

Fixed an issue that the sharpness of the reference frame was not always determined in front-facing camera images of the iPhone XS, XR, and XS Max.

Fixed an issue that caused messages to merge into one thread when two users were logged in with the same Apple ID on multiple iPhones.

Addresses an issue that prevented some Voicemail messages from appearing in the Phone app.

● Resolved an issue in the Phone app that might cause phone numbers to appear without the contact's name corresponding to the number.

● Fixed an issue that might prevent Screen Time from listing specific websites in the activity report.

● Addresses an issue that may have prevented family members from being added or removed from Family Sharing.

● Adding a performance management feature that prevents the device from unexpectedly shutting down, including the option to disable that feature in the event of an unexpected shutdown of the iPhone X, 8, and 8 Plus.

● Adding the ability to the "Battery Status" feature to inform users of its inability to ensure that an original Apple battery is being used for iPhone XS, XR and XS Max.

● VoiceOver reliability improved in Camera, Siri, and Safari.

Fixed an issue that could cause “Device Enrollment in MDM” not reporting an “Invalid Profile” error for some enterprise users


Before updating, be sure to take a backup copy of the contents of your device, whether on the iCloud or the iTunes application
