The iOS 12.1.2 update is available exclusively on iPhones and is not available for other devices, so that iPads, iPods and others continue to run on iOS 12.1.1. It is the previous version of iOS 12 which was released on December 5th.

According to Apple's release notes, iOS 12.1.2 is only a bug fix and focuses on addressing issues related to eSIM activation and cellular connectivity in Turkey.

It has also been shown that iOS 12.1.2 contains software modifications for Chinese devices and removes Qualcomm's patented functions. Last week, a Chinese court issued a ban on sales of some iPhones in China after it ruled that Apple had violated a patent from Qualcomm related to resizing and reformatting images and managing applications using the touch screen when using applications.
