Perhaps what distinguishes the Android system from the iOS system is the control to close sensitive applications with a password and protect them from the tampering of intruders. We have no official or direct way from Apple to do this. We used to do this by jailbreaking and installing a custom Cydia tool. But we bring you good tidings, because with this smart rectangle called the iPhone, the secrets do not end. A workaround is not by applying shortcuts. But it was discovered in the iOS 12 operating system, with the Screen Time feature or "device usage time", you can lock any application on the iPhone with ease. In explaining the method, we will use the names of the settings in Arabic and the equivalent in the English language on the iPhone, so that everyone can benefit. How do you close any application on the iPhone or iPad with a password?

How to lock any app on iPhone with a password without jailbreak

Apple does not provide a feature to close any application you want with a password and leaves the freedom for application owners to add this feature. But the trick is to use the Screen Time feature, which prevents you from using the application after a specified time without typing a password. The idea of the trick is to restrict all the programs you are interested in and set the period of 1 minute, and then any time you open it will ask you for the password because you have exceeded the daily limit. And follow us to find out how to implement this idea.

◉ Enter the Settings.

◉ Enter the device usage period or Screen Time.

◉ Click on Use Screen Time Passcode and set a password.

◉ At the top of the page, click on the name of your device, and if you use more than one device, choose the current one.

◉ Choose the app you want to create a password for. If the app is not present then choose any one, this is just a gateway to more settings.

◉ Then choose “Add Limit” and enter the passcode.

◉ Choose “Edit Apps or Edit Apps” and choose all the applications that you want to close with a password, then click Add.

◉ Use the timer interface at the top of the screen and choose the lowest time available is a minute, then click "Add" in the top left or Add in the top right.

◉ Thus, the application limits feature will effectively secure the applications you have chosen, and if you try to open any of those closed applications, click "Request more time".

And then you will be prompted to enter the "Screen Time" passcode as in the following picture.

◉ You will see options for the duration of the application to run, and the minimum available option is fifteen minutes. So choose it.

◉ You can lock any application on your phone except for the mobile application. There is absolutely no option to turn off access to the mobile app.

◉ For applications like Messages or FaceTime, you need to adjust them in the "Always allow" section of the main screen to set "Screen Time" or Screen Time.

◉ Then remove it by clicking on the “-” sign next to it and then “Remove” until the limit is enabled and a password is set for it in the same way as the previous one.

NB

You will not be able to receive any notifications for locked apps

last word

This method is considered an informal ploy and has a serious flaw, which is that there is 1 minute per day in which the application can be opened. If you believe in a specific application in this way and you do not open it during the day, an intruder can open it and will work with it without any problems for only 60 seconds. But in general it is better than nothing.

This way, you can protect your photos and privacy on the iPhone. All you have to do now is to try and tell us the success of this process with you in the comments.
