Apple launched a version of the iOS 12.2 Last Monday at the March 25 conference last. This update contains a package that is not a few of the new features aimed mostly at the American citizen, other than the reforms and improvements to the system as a whole. In this article, we will discuss the most important of these features in some detail.

The most important new features in the iOS 12.2 update

New Apple News + subscription service

In the Apple News app, a section for newspapers and magazines has been added in a new tab in the news app, and it has been called “News +” with a monthly subscription for $ 9.99. With this, you can enjoy high-quality news and magazine content from more than 300 sources. A one-month free trial is available, but Apple will start charging it once the 30-day trial period ends.

To subscribe to the free trial version, you will need to obtain a credit card and then enter the Apple News app - then click on Try it Free - then on the next page click on Try it Free again, then confirm that you will pay the subscription fee of $ 9.99 per month after Trial version expires. Then enter the Apple account password or fingerprint if prompted.

If you subscribed for free and did not like it and wanted to cancel the subscription before renewing, unfortunately Apple did not develop a clear cancellation method. And if you want to cancel the subscription request before the automatic renewal and charging the fees. There are several ways to do this.

To cancel the subscription through the Apple News app

◉ Open the “Following” tab.

◉ Scroll to the bottom and click on "Manage Subscriptions".

◉ Choose “Cancel Free Trial” or “Cancel Free Trial”.

◉ You will be asked to “Confirm” or “Confirm”.

Thus, the subscription will be canceled immediately, and it is preferable to do this one or two days before the end of the month in order to benefit from the free period completely.

Cancel the subscription through your Apple account settings

This method is the longest, but it enables you to access your subscription list and not just the news app subscription. You can access this in several ways:

Settings - then enter your account - then iTunes & App Store - then enter your Apple account, Apple ID, then display Apple ID.

Settings - then iTunes & App Store - then your Apple ID account - then display your Apple ID.

◉ Or through the iTunes Store app, then your Apple ID account (at the bottom) and then display your Apple ID.

Once the Apple account is displayed, on the "Account Setup" or "Subscriptions" page, choose "Apple News" from the list of applications that you have subscribed to. You can cancel any active subscriptions of any other apps. Once you click on the application, click "Cancel Free Trial", then "Confirm" or "Confirm." You will see a message that you will lose access to all journals. If you want to subscribe again, you will have to pay the subscription fee.

New Animoji

If you have an iPhone X or later, four new Animoji have been added: an owl, a wild boar, a giraffe, and a shark.

You can view Air Quality (AQI) in Apple Maps

In iOS 12.2 update, if you see a town or city on Apple Maps, you can now see the Air Quality Index for that area (not available in all cities). It is a collection of numbers and colors that describe how clean or polluted the air is. It is worth noting that the Air Quality Index has been present since the release of iOS 12, but only in the weather application, but now it has reached the Maps application as well.

The temperatures are displayed, then below them the value of the air quality index, and that quality is measured from zero to 500. If the ratio is from zero to 50, the air quality is considered good and satisfactory, and it does not pose a significant risk. If the ratio is from 50 to 100 the air quality is considered moderate and tolerable. If the ratio is from 100 to 150, the quality is unhealthy for allergy sufferers. And from 150 to 200 is considered unhealthy and dangerous for allergy sufferers. 200 to 300 is considered very unhealthy and everyone is likely to be affected. If the ratio is from 300 to 500, then it is considered a very dangerous situation that results in devastating health effects, and everyone must stay away from it. This is a renewable map around the clock that shows the air quality in all countries of the world, you can see it from this Link .

"Hey Siri" support for the new AirPods

A new setup window has been added for AirPods, stating that the user will be able to talk to Siri through those headphones by saying "Hey Siri" or "Hey Siri" without pressing any button. When pairing the AirPods, the user will be asked to set up "Hey Siri" just like the iPhone and iPad.

You can use Siri to play videos on Apple TV

What is new in Siri is the ability to demand it via the iPhone to play any video or show any movie or sports game, or a specific channel on Apple TV. Examples provided by Apple include “Hey Siri, play Free Solo on my TV” or “Hey Siri, play Free Solo on my TV”.

Among the updates that prolonged Siri as well

Before this update, I was asking Siri to play an audio file from the Music app. This was getting done, and all that was on the screen was a screen-width button that said "Open Music" or "Open Music." Now you can have more control of the "Now Play" user interface without opening the Music app.

Certainly, this is not all in the new version, but there is more that we will mention in a later article, so stay tuned.
