The latest version of Apple's patent has revealed plans to develop Touch ID and bring it back in iPhone 2020 devices, in addition to an update for MacBook devices. Blaine Curtis, an Apple analyst, also shared his and friends' expectations for both 2019 and 2020 Apple models after their trip to Asia earlier this month, where they met some suppliers within Apple's supply chains. So what's new?

New patent and exciting details for iPhone 2020

A summary of what was published was the following:

The three iPhones will get relatively few design changes, along with additional rear camera lenses. We have mentioned this in detail in previous articles.

◉ The 3D Touch feature will be permanently eliminated in all 2019 phones, which may indicate an expansion of the Haptic Touch feature.

◉ The next-generation iPhone XR will contain 4 GB of RAM, instead of the current 3 GB, as analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expected.

There are big and more important changes in iPhone 2020 devices, including support for 5G technology, XNUMXD sensing via the rear camera system, and a fingerprint under all the screen.

◉ A few suppliers mentioned the possibility of an iPhone SE 2 with internal iPhone 8 specifications in early 2020.

◉ LG may become a secondary supplier of OLED screens with an estimated share of 10 to 30% with Samsung, before Apple adopts OLED screens in all its phones in 2020.

◉ Other rumors indicated that the iPhone 2019 devices will contain a frosted glass cover, larger batteries, and a dual “reverse charge” charging feature that allows users to charge accessories that support wireless charging by placing them on the back of the iPhone.

◉ Apple will likely unveil its latest phones in the month of September as usual at the Steve Jobs Theater.

The second generation Touch ID fingerprint is coming soon

In a report published yesterday, a new Apple patent reveals new details about the second version of the Touch ID 2.0 fingerprint that may reach iPhone 2020. Where the patent shows, Apple plans to include very small cameras called "pinhole cameras" installed. Behind the screen of the phone it will be able to create a XNUMXD map of the fingerprint, regardless of the position of the finger.

This is an indication that this technology could replace Face ID. But it is likely that this new technology can be added to capture a fingerprint with a facial print to make the iPhone more secure.

The interesting thing about this patent is that it shows actual images and not blueprints of an already built working prototype, which means that Apple has been developing this technology for a long time. And it may be on phones of 2020 or later.

What do you think of those updates? Do you expect to replace the fingerprint of the face with the improved fingerprint? Let us know in the comments.
