After the scandal of listening to Siri recordings, which we mentioned in a previous article -this linkApple announced that it will stop allowing its employees around the world who are interested in developing Siri from listening to short recordings. It said it would introduce a way to control whether or not the sharing of Siri recordings. How to stop Siri recordings? And also the registrations made by Google and Amazon?

Siri recordings have stopped

Apple said it would temporarily suspend its practice of using employees to listen to snippets of Siri recordings for development purposes. This step comes in the wake of a report published by the Guardian newspaper, that contract employees with Apple around the world are working on developing Siri, listening to Siri recordings, listening to sensitive information, and an Apple spokesperson said in a statement to The Verge:

We are committed to providing a great Siri experience while protecting user privacy, and while we conduct a thorough review, we are suspending contracts with Apple contractors around the world to develop Siri. Additionally, as part of future updates, users will have a choice whether or not to share that data.

Apple has not commented on whether or not it will stop saving those recordings on its servers. The company currently says that it keeps the records for six months, and if it wants to keep them for two years or more, it removes the identifying information and remains anonymous.

How to delete Siri records from Apple servers

Amazon, Google, and even Facebook have their own website where you can review or delete data privacy settings, or generally get information about what each company knows about you. These sites are:

  •  For google who Here.
  • Amazon from Here.
  • For Facebook, there is no direct link, but this can be adjusted by logging into your profile on Facebook Portal if you have it.

As for Apple, it does not offer a privacy portal for your Siri data, or any specific settings screen to control it. Its general privacy page is an explanation of Apple's policies, but there's no specific information about data or check boxes to delete it. The only thing you can do from Apple's website is to download or delete all of your data. It is possible that the update that I promised two days ago will allow you to use Siri without saving your recordings on any of the Apple servers.

Here's how to delete voice notes recorded on an iPhone and every Apple device you own. And what it will do is delete all the information that Apple obtains from Siri, including your voice recordings. Here's how:

1

Go to Settings> Siri and Search, then turn off "Listen to" Hey Siri. " Then turn off the "Press the Home button to start Siri", and here you will receive a warning to delete your data from Apple's servers.

2

After that, go to Settings> General> Keyboard and then turn off "Enable dictation" and all data will be removed from Apple's servers.

This way, you are safe from having your sensitive recordings heard by Siri or any other assistant.

What do you think of Apple's action on Siri recordings? Did you expect a quick reaction? Let us know in the comments.
