Yesterday, Apple published an official warning about a loophole in the iOS 13 system that enables the developers' keyboard to monitor everything you type on it; To what extent is this vulnerability dangerous and how can you protect yourself from it?

Apple warns: a vulnerability enables the keyboard to monitor you against your will

Apple said in an official document on its support page that there is a known vulnerability they now have that allows different keyboards to access and activate the "Full Access" option even if you do not activate this option for them. To clarify, the iOS system, by default, does not allow keyboards to collect data about your use and send it to the developer, except in one case that you grant the board full access. But Apple said that the vulnerability enables even panels that did not give it this option to collect data as well.

Apple said that it is already aware of this vulnerability and that it will solve it in a soon update for iOS and iPadOS, so it is expected to see an update soon, so that it will be in a week, for example, and it will often carry the number iOS 13.1.1.

The severity of the vulnerability and what can we do?

The seriousness of the flaw is that the developer can know everything you type, whether it is personal matters, conversations, addresses, and everything. The iOS system provides a security option, which is that you can only type a password using the basic Apple keyboard, and the same is true for credit cards. But what if you were having a conversation with a friend and typed your credit card number! Here is the danger, and the situation is as follows:

◉ If you are already using non-Apple keyboards and are really giving them full access option then nothing is different for you. The loophole is that keyboards that do not get full access can secretly activate it for themselves. But if you really give the keyboard this option then this vulnerability does not concern you and nothing changes for you.

If you already use keyboards, but do not give them the option of full access, then you have to stop using them or delete the keyboard temporarily until Apple launches an update to solve the flaw.

Do you use Apple's keyboard or other companies? Will it give it the option of full access? Share your experience with us in the comments
