Last Thursday, Apple released a new “Firmware” update for the recent AirPods Pro that were launched last October. The new version comes with the code number 2B588, and as usual, we do not know what is new in this version because the AirPods updates do not contain the release notes that can be viewed. Here's how to install this update.

What's new in the AirPods Pro system update
There is no information about what is included in this update, but it may improve connectivity or address some other minor bugs and issues with AirPods Pro. For example, many AirPods Pro users face an ongoing issue that can cause one of their earbuds to malfunction and display a red exclamation mark. Although the problem didn't seem to be a big deal, it was annoying and might prevent the user from seeing the charge level of their earbuds.

Previous AirPods models also encountered similar issues shortly after their appearance. This is most likely one of the reasons behind the new AirPods Pro update.
We recommend that you install the latest version on your AirPods Pro as soon as possible to keep them running smoothly.
How to install the new AirPods Pro update

The update will be installed automatically when AirPods Pro are connected to iPhone or iPad, and the update may take some time for everyone. To install this release, follow these steps:
◉ To download the new update, you must connect to Wi-Fi, and it is preferable to connect your device to the charger.
◉ Make sure that your AirPods Pro are connected to the iPhone or iPad and that they are in the same range.
◉ Enter the settings on an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.
◉ Click General - then About.
◉ Scroll down to Set Up AirPods Pro and tap on it.

◉ You will find the firmware or firmware version under “Firmware Version” or click on it.

Due to the pressure on Apple's servers, the update may take some time. So if your AirPods Pro hasn't updated yet, be sure to check back later.
