Although Apple's Animoji and Memoji have become very popular, they are mainly limited to the Messages app and FaceTime application only, and therefore you do not find them in other applications we need to actually use them in. And it seems that Apple has begun to modify this in the recent update of the Clips video application, thus taking the features of Animoji and Memoji to a completely new creative level.

Apple allows the use of Animoji and Memoji in a new application

New updates to Clips and the use of Animoji and Memoji

Clip is a free video editing app released by Apple for iPhones and iPads for more than two years. At that time, Apple was calling it iMovie, as it offered a set of easy features that allow users to easily combine photos, movies, stickers, texts, and more into short videos and share them on social media. While iMovie at its start took a little work and effort, Clips is now designed to produce video quickly and with minimal effort.

Apple provided some frequent updates to the Clip app, which generally focuses on adding more content such as stickers and wallpapers, as well as an important update after the release of the iPhone X, where it added a new feature called "Selfie Scenes" with very cool effects, including that you can change Background wherever you want, thanks to the TrueDepth camera.

Use Animoji and Memoji in the Clips app

Apple has now added another big update in the Clips app that allows users to bring any of the Memoji they created in the Messages app directly to their edited videos. Animoji and Memoji will now automatically appear in the Clips app, and can be added along with other features in the app, including filters, text, stickers, and more. Animoji and Memoji can be switched after recording the video as well.

Stickers can be combined with Animoji and Memoji and will be tracked along with the user's face movement, so things like sunglasses and speech bubbles will remain attached to the face, giving you a more fun and interactive experience.

Of course, all of this requires an iPhone or iPad Pro equipped with a TrueDepth front camera, and this is only present on the iPhone X, XS, XS Max and XR, or iPhone 11, 11 Pro and Pro Max. Although Clips works well on other iPhone and iPad models, and even on the XNUMXth generation iPod touch, you won't be able to use the Animoji, Memoji, or Selfie Scenes features.

In addition to anime and memoji, Apple has added more new content to Clips, including a new set of seven Disney stickers featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and a new Let It Snow poster that can be used as a wallpaper.

The new version also adds support for right-to-left languages such as Arabic.

Apple has previously introduced updates to the app with new stickers, first introducing licensed content from Disney and Pixar in 2017, including Mickey, Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, as well as characters from Toy Story and Inside Out.

If you haven't tried Clips yet, it is definitely worth a try, especially if you are using the latest iPhones that provide a wider field of view for selfies on the new 12MP front camera.

Clips 2.1 is free and compatible with iPhone 6s and SE or later, iPad Air 2 or later, and iPod touch 13th generation, and requires iOS 13 or iPadOS XNUMX or later.

Have you tried Clips before? How was the experience? Let us know in the comments.
