Year after year Apple develops its watch and system; This pushed the Apple Watch to become a continuous bestseller throughout the past years, completely without a competitor in its class. But this does not mean that there are no shortcomings and missing features that we hope to see in the next versions of the watch or WatchOS, we will discuss some of them in this article.

Strongly needed changes coming to Apple Watch and its new system

Add a fingerprint to Apple Watch

she spoke Press reports that Apple is currently addressing two different methods of adding a fingerprint (touch ID) To the Apple Watch. One of the two approaches will be by integrating the fingerprint sensor into the Digital Crown. The other way is to add it under the screen and the latter is the best and most appropriate. It is not clear whether this change will be in this year's models or not, and it was said that it will be in the Apple Watch 7 for 2021.

At the moment, the Apple Watch doesn't offer any biometric authentication options. Instead, users must type in the PIN code the first time they place the watch on their wrist, and then the watch automatically shuts itself off when it detects that it has been removed from the wrist. You can also unlock your watch automatically when you unlock its associated iPhone. This helps reduce the number of times you need to type the PIN code, making the Touch ID fingerprint a lesser priority on the watch than on a phone. However, it would be nice to have it any way it was.

Does the fingerprint return to the iPhone?

Other rumors spread earlier about Apple's adoption of under-screen fingerprint sensors on the iPhone - Link - and this is LinkAs an alternative to cancel the face ID fingerprint, and that Apple has made a return of the fingerprint to the iPhone again, albeit in a more advanced way, but some of us believe that this is highly unlikely.

And famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo mentioned that Apple may add a fingerprint sensor to the power button on low-cost iPhones in the future, which will allow the company to offer a full-screen device without a Face ID notch and the expensive TrueDepth camera system.

The way to add a fingerprint to the button is almost the same as to add it to the Apple Watch Digital Crown. Which poses particular challenges and adjustments for the watch, as the crown is now used to enable the electrocardiogram feature. Since the addition of an ECG in the Apple Watch 4, the face of the crown has been covered with a titanium electrode. Thus it is not clear how Apple can add a fingerprint sensor in this place.

The oxygen sensor is coming for Apple Watch

Beyond Touch ID, another report published by 9to5Mac indicates the addition of a blood oxygen sensor and sleep tracker coming to an Apple Watch with watchOS 7. Improvements will also be made to Siri and the user interface system will be updated, according to the report.

The report also indicates that Apple Watch 2 Introduced in 2016, it will not be eligible to upgrade to watchOS 7. Nor will the Apple Watch 1 because it shares the same dual-core processor as the Apple Watch 2.

Investigators are not expecting changes to the hardware of the watch itself this year. While Apple may add some features such as WiFi 6 and improved battery life, the overall design will remain the same. And Bloomberg reports that sleep tracking will not be compatible with existing watches. If that turns out to be true, sleep tracking will become the hallmark of the Apple Watch 6.

We expect Apple to officially unveil watchOS 7 at the WWDC conference next June, which will be held online only this year, and the company has not yet confirmed a specific date for the main event. The next generation of Apple Watch is expected to be launched at the time of launching the new iPhone as usual in September.

Do you think that Apple will introduce such technologies soon? Let us know in the comments.
