The fastest way to share your location via messages on an iPhone

Facilitates Apple Share your location With your family and friends using the tools included in the "info" page for all conversations in messages. With these tools, you can submit your current location or share trackable coordinates in real time. But iOS always has some hidden tricks to make things easier than they seem, there is a nice and subtle trick if you want to send your location in one second through the keyboard by just typing a word or two, without going elsewhere, get to know it.

The fastest way to share your location via messages on an iPhone

Instead of typing your address manually or going to maps and sharing your location, or clicking on the recipient's name and going to the conversation's "info" page to send a map to your location, you can instead use just two words through the keyboard and your location will be predicted immediately. This only works for the iMessages app, but there are a few requirements before you can use this feature:

◉ You must use Apple's default “QuickType” keyboard. This means that third-party keyboards are like Camelion Or Gboard It will not work. Use the keyboard switcher to make sure that you are using "United States" English if this is your default language or Arabic if it is.

Predictive text must be enabled, and you can do that through Settings - General - Keyboard - Prediction.

Now, you are ready to submit your current location using just two words.

In the conversation, show the virtual keyboard and type "I'm at" or "I am at" if you use English, then click the spacebar. In English, "Current Location" will appear as predictive text on top of the keyboard.

Or type "This is my location" if you are using Arabic and press the spacebar, and the phrase "current location" will appear as predictive text on top of the keyboard.

Click on this prediction, and a map of your current location will be sent to the person or group you message with, as well as an Apple Maps link with directions to your area.

Unfortunately, this phrase only works in Apple's messaging app, but it works smoothly and sends your location faster than any other option. However, there are a few other things to note:

You must write your phrase the same way as shown above, it won't work if you write it differently. Typing prediction or auto-correction will help you to formulate it correctly. Rather, we mean the English phrase “I'm” taking into account the apostrophe, or writing it in a non-abbreviated form of “I am at”.

If the other person sends you a message “Where are you?” Meaning “Where are you?” You will be automatically predicted by the "current location" option on your keyboard. Unfortunately, I haven't come up with an Arabic formula that shows this prediction, you can try it (my friend) and let us know in the comments.

If you want to use the traditional method for submitting your current location, click on the name of another contact or group name at the top, then click on "Information".

Then click on "Submit my current location" or "Share my location." The latter will share your location in real time for one hour, until the end of the day, or indefinitely.

Submit your location using external applications

If you use Google Maps, for example, you will see in the application shortcuts bar at the top of the keyboard a shortcut for Google Maps, by clicking on it you can send your location with more details than Apple Maps, and with one click.

Hahaha, my name was mentioned in the article 😅
I am using the English language, and my site appears if I typed I'm at
Consequently, I could not know the alternative to where are you in Arabic if it was sent by someone else
Thanks for the information ..

Thank you for the beautiful detailed explanation, but it has a faster way than this >> For example, copy the home site link and go to the settings >> General >> Keyboard >> Replace texts >> The first field, paste the link, and the second box, register my location or home site
And this method works in all programs
Greetings to you ツ
