Even if you don't rush and get up Install trial versions Issued for my operating system iOS 14 And iPadOS 14 on your devices, as a good follower of Apple, you know all about the new features that will transform your home screen, applications, and overall experience of your iPhone in new and exciting ways. Major changes will happen to our home screens, UI elements and apps as Apple has made some long-awaited adjustments. I have tested the new beta since its launch, and there is a lot of good that I liked, and there are other things that I did not like and I hope to see future improvements.

5 things we love and 5 hate about the benefits of iOS 14

Search for Emoji

What is good?

Apple now lets you search the list of emojis so you don't have to rely on unstable predictive text or the device's memory. When you click on the emoji button on the iPhone keyboard, you will see the same interface as before, with a library of all emojis available for use, but now there will be a search bar at the top. It's fast and smart, searching for everything understood by context or name emoji so you should find what you're looking for the first time.

What is not good

While searching for emojis is great on the iPhone, it is not available on the iPad. You'll just get a new popup that's a little nicer and easier to navigate than before, but there's no search bar anywhere. So if you use Magic Keyboard, you will still need to drag over emojis to find what you want.

main screen

What is good?

Many of us have waited for years to see a fresh tweak of the iOS home screen, and Apple finally did it. It took a step forward, letting you hide home screens, add widgets, and keep things organized without sacrificing the identity of the iPhone that stretches for a decade. It is smart, modern and organized. Best of all, if you love home screens the way they are, you don't have to do anything.

What is not good

While the new home screen is more customizable than before, there are things that are still required, for example, applications and tools are still in grid mode glued together, if you want to edit the screen to organize some tools, you will find that two rows of applications are joined together which makes you feel With too many restrictions.

Also, the use and customization of the iPhone in the new update needs a guide on how to operate it, as many do not yet know how to hide the home screens, which is not present at all in the iPad.

Application Library

What is good?

The App Library might be the smartest feature you used on an iPhone, unlike Android entirely. It can be accessed by swiping after the last home page. The app library organized your apps by category and usage, with suggestions for your recently used apps, recently added apps at the top and other next categories based on your usage. Nice to look at this one and quite happy to use.

What is not good

As for everything that is cool about the app library, it has a major drawback, which is that you cannot customize it. So you cannot rearrange the categories or even add a new one. This takes away some of the app library's usefulness, since you are at the mercy of Apple's algorithm that identifies only seven apps at the most. Also, there is one way to show it, which is to swipe to the last screen, making it difficult to access.

Widget (tools)

What good?

Although it is limited at the present time, once developers support it in their applications, it will become necessary and indispensable. Indeed, Apple is updating and adding more in each new beta version, in the second beta a widget was added files and in the third beta a wonderful clock widget was added. And God willing, Islam's iPhone applications will be updated and great tools will be added for those applications that may at times prevent you from opening applications.

What is not good

Most tools come in several sizes, but you cannot change their size after they have been created, and to change the size to the largest or smallest, you need to delete the tool from the main screen and add it again in the size you want, and this matter we see a bit boring.

Also, you cannot interact with tools yet, we need more options as long as the goal of these tools is to shorten time and save effort instead of opening the application itself.

There are some tools that need to be added, as they are very important, such as a calculator or even adding a mini-game, and it is believed that this will not be available soon.

After the latest beta is released, pressing the tools to release them takes longer, and sometimes it takes several attempts to lift your finger and press again.

Compact user interface

What is good?

The acquisition of Siri, the phone calls and before them was finally over the full-screen volume up window, which everyone loved.

For Siri, it appears as an icon at the bottom of the screen without exiting the open page on your device. In the picture above, I just asked Siri, "How much is the dollar today?" I immediately responded with a window at the top of the screen showing the dollar price in my local currency, the Egyptian pound.

Phone calls no longer interrupt your task either, you will only see a small banner at the top of the screen that can be dragged to hide it in the upper edge of the iPhone and make the connection easily silent.

What is not good

While the phone call banner allows you to continue working when you receive an alert, calling Siri still forces you to stop what you are doing, unlike the Mac where you can continue to work, which we hope to see on the iPhone.

The separation between the Siri interface and the response on the iPhone. Where the interface is located at the bottom of the screen, but the response appears at the top of the screen, this may cause interference for some, but we may get used to it, so it will look great in this way and better than before.
