Want to read but can't find the time? This is your guide to audiobook services

Perhaps you were a diligent reader, and suddenly you had work or study conditions that prevented you from reading for a long time. Or perhaps you want to start reading or get the benefit of books, but paper books are not suitable for you for any reason. I personally had a similar experience a few days ago and decided to search for an audiobook service but tired looking for information about all services. So we thought about making this guide for audiobook services, perhaps it would benefit anyone from the iPhone Islam followers family. Many free and paid services will be mentioned in Arabic and English. Also, all the aforementioned services are legal, even the free ones, and there are no stolen books against copyrights.

Audible

Want to read but can't find the time? This is your guide to audiobook services

This is perhaps the most popular audiobook service. As it is provided by the famous and well-established Amazon company in the field of selling electronic books. The service provides you with two packages. The first is Audible Plus, which allows you to listen to podcasts and listen unlimitedly to specific books available within the library. And this subscription costs $ 8. The largest subscription is Premium Plus, which costs $ 15 per month. It includes what was in the last subscription in addition to a monthly point that you can use to purchase any book of any price. You can accumulate these points to buy books whenever you want. Books can also be purchased on your own with discounts if you want more than what the points provide. And you can even buy additional points at a relatively low price. The service is characterized by providing the most recent books at the time of their issuance and the largest library ever.

Perhaps the drawback of this service is its high price compared to the rest of the services, but the books' value is excellent. With points you buy books that sometimes cost more than forty dollars. Also, listening is unlimited, and you can exchange the book you bought for points if you do not like it.

The service provides a free month of trial, during which you can buy a book with a point, and it will remain yours forever even if you cancel the subscription.

Librivox

The last service was paid so we put the free after it. This service contains a large library of free audio books in Arabic and English. But it does stick to those books that are available for public use. These books tend to be somewhat old, but they are among the most valuable books in existence and contain hours of information or entertainment and culture. I recommend Twelve Years a Slave, it's awesome.

From the Librivox library, you can find books as read as audio, via the browser, or even through the iPhone application.

Kobo audiobooks

The Kobo system is similar to the Amazon Kindle. It sells books and reading devices as well as audiobooks. What distinguishes Kobo audiobooks from Audible is the better price of $ 10. Its point system works similarly to Audible. He also got many new books for a while. Its problem is the lesser options than Audible, and some books are not available in all regions. But it also provides a free month and you can keep the book you got during the trial. Be sure to browse the service to get an idea of the options available.

Audio book

Time for services in Arabic. The first is an audio book, and it contains the largest collection of books read in the Arabic language. The service contains translated foreign books and Arabic writing. In addition to the great Arabic content, its price is excellent. Where you can create a free account and buy books individually if you do not consume much of them, or you can buy a monthly subscription to access thousands of books, and the cost of this subscription is equivalent to only 50 EGP per month.

This app is no longer available in the store. 🙁

Read me

Another great Arabic app for getting audiobooks. It contains many famous books, such as the books of Naguib Mahfouz, and it also contains some translated foreign books. However, its library is small compared to an (audiobook) library, and many of them are novels and not as diverse in book classifications. The cost of the service is the equivalent of EGP 320 annually, but you can get a special offer these days for "Black Friday" and subscribe to the equivalent of EGP 199 annually in any currency of course. The service is excellent for Arabic fiction enthusiasts. You can get an excellent selection of novels for a fee that may be less than the price of two novels from Naguib Mahfouz. Also, the platform is not static but is expanding and bringing more books. Rather, it signs contracts to obtain books before the date of their issuance, as happened with the novel “Fardgan” by Youssef Zaidan.

Application Audiobooks

Another audiobook service that costs $ 15 is Audible. Although it contains excellent titles, what distinguishes it most is that you can get three books during the free period instead of one book like the rest of the services. This is a very impressive offer. It also contains a free book classification with more than ten thousand books. You do not need to purchase a subscription to the service.

Application My Books

Another free program, like Librivox, includes free books and classics. But what's special about it is the excellent design of the app, and it's even better than its predecessor.

Storytel

A subscription-based application where you can listen to the entire library during the time you subscribe to a system similar to services such as Netflix. And it is considered a very special application that deserved the article update for it. It contains many, many books. Either in foreign languages or in Arabic. The library also contains books that are difficult to find in many other services, and if they are found, they are at a purchase price that is separate from the price of the service. Such as the well-known Harry Potter series books that are notoriously difficult to find in such a service.

The price for the service varies depending on the country you are subscribing from. Perhaps if you do not mind having some items in a different language, you can choose the country in which the best price is offered (through my experience, I found the cheapest Turkey). For this small price, you can listen to a wealth of books.

important note

Even if the subscription is available from within the application in one of these applications. Don't do it (except for Storytel, you can subscribe from within the app for a good price). You will even have to go to the site in your browser to subscribe. This is due to Apple's commission on the store, so the prices would have been more expensive if it was made directly through the app. Finally, I wish you all a happy listening and useful reading.

Have you decided to try any of these services or get free books? Also, share books you love or book resources so that everyone can benefit

Thanks a lot for the great article

I had a personal experience with the "Read to Me" program for two years, after which I moved to a more comprehensive and rich-book "audiobook" application .. Annual subscription is more expensive, but in the previous month of Ramadan there was a 50% discount, and I subscribed and very enjoying the great content in "Audiobook".

This is the best compilation and presentation of the applications I see on any interested and specialized site (forward, family of Yvonne Islam) 😍🥰

A very useful article ... I used about a year ago an application (read to me) ... good, useful and affordable (especially the annual subscription). Narratives are the most specialized as I mentioned, but there are also books on politics and religious books that I have listened to.

I have a question please ... Does any of the applications include audio medical books ...?

If you are referring to specialized books, that is, for a doctor or medical student regarding a scientific subject, then not. Because of the nature of these books, which does not depend on narrative reading, but on the scientific text. If you are referring to books for regular reading about health, yes, you can find them, especially on Audible, if you search.

You can check for yourself by searching on their site.

I do not prefer to pay outside Apple. It is correct in commission, but it is more secure because the application does not know the card information, while on the net it knows the card number, so security is first before the price is cheap

Thank you for the article.

In Arabic, the best from my point of view:
Audio book, Fnajin, and brief.

In Saudi Arabia:
XNUMX) An audiobook: XNUMX riyals per month (there is a difference in the price in Egypt), it makes the difference. Never think of subscribing!
They had an annual subscription of XNUMX riyals, then XNUMX riyals arrived and now it does not exist, only the monthly one.
It is the most and the best variety among them.

XNUMX) Fnajin: XNUMX riyals a month, XNUMX riyals a yearly subscription, which is constantly growing, and is good in general.
Language safety in reading is good.

XNUMX) Brief: a monthly subscription of $ XNUMX (approximately XNUMX riyals), an annual subscription of XNUMX riyals, then it became XNUMX riyals, currently they have a discount to be of XNUMX dollars (XNUMX riyals).
They have minor but annoying grammatical errors 😅.

Subscription outside the Apple ecosystem is only available at first without any benefit to the customer!

As for the application of an audiobook, the reason for this pricing is most likely the difference in average incomes and purchasing power in each market. Therefore, many companies change prices to what suits each market, as Google, Apple, and Amazon do with the Prime service and others.
