The A14 processor beats the upcoming SD888 for future Android phones

Qualcomm has shared the benchmark results of its new Snapdragon 888 chip that will be used in future and flagship Android phones that will be released in 2021, and although the standards are very advanced, it turns out that it is unable to keep up with the chip. A14 In Tarz IPhone 12, Not even the A13 processor in the iPhone 11. AnandTech compared Qualcomm's standards with the standards of Apple devices, and the results resulted in the iPhone winning the Geekbench 5 and GFXBench tests and were as follows.

The A14 processor beats the upcoming SD888 for future Android phones

The SD888 chip got a score of 1135 for single cores, and a score of 3794 for multiple cores, while the A14 chip in iPhone 12 Pro got a score of 1603 for single cores and 4187 for multiple cores.

As for the iPhone 11 Pro supported by the A13 chip, it scored 1331 in the single-core tests and 3366 in the multiple cores test. Thus, the Snapdragon 888 is able to achieve the best performance of the A13 in multi-core testing, albeit with a slight difference.

In GFXBench tests, which measure GPU performance, Snapdragon scored 86 frames per second, compared to 102.24 frames per second on the iPhone 12 Pro, and this placed the Snapdragon processor in a lower ranking than the iPhone SE, 11 and 12‌. As for the durability of maximum performance, it is not known yet and depends on the power consumption of the chip, but AnandTech believes that the SD888 could ultimately beat the iPhone 12 if the power consumption is competitive.

Although the Snapdragon 888 does not seem to match the results of the maximum performance in the A13 or A14 chips used in the iPhone devices, this performance will depend slightly on the power consumption of the chip. If this reaches between 4 and 4.5 watts, it is likely that most of the major Android phones in 2021 will be able to maintain their maximum performance, and here the superiority will be allied to Qualcomm.

These benchmarks are another indication that Apple's A-series processors are incredibly powerful compared to the rest of the competitors. It is also noted that the A13 chip still maintains its edge compared to the leading Android processors.

The Snapdragon 888 chip is not completely on the level of Apple's A13 or A14 chipset, but it is a major improvement over the previous generation of Snapdragon chips used in current Android smartphones. CPU performance increased by 25% and GPU performance increased by 35%.

Since these benchmarks are provided by Qualcomm itself, AnandTech says, we have to trust that they are accurate.

Of course, the SD888 processor has not yet been officially released, and tests have been conducted in special laboratories on Qualcomm devices, and Samsung may be the first to use this processor.

What do you think of these performance benchmarks? Do you expect the Qualcomm processor to surpass Apple in the future? Let us know in the comments.

Hahahaha, you really said it in the comment, but no one appreciates Apple. Why is everyone so confident that Apple loses more than his weak company? Hahaha😹😹
