Convert your iPhone into a digital scale to adjust the level of things around you

There is no doubt that we prefer to see things around us perfectly fine-tuned, suppose you hang a picture frame or a certificate of appreciation or the like, the first thing you do is to comment and go back to see its levelness, then you should try to adjust it manually until you are convinced of its level and the matter is not free from reference to anyone People to give their opinion, is it level or not; Unless you have a hydrometer with you, which is rare unless you are an architect. There is no problem with this anymore, this tool is in your pocket and you will not need a tool to adjust the levels of things, yes, you have an iPhone! Follow the article to learn how to use it as a scale.

Convert your iPhone into a digital scale to adjust the level of things around you

Your iPhone has a hidden feature and you will not need to download anything from the Internet. This feature is actually not new. Apple included a scale tool to adjust the levels of things in every update since iOS 7. At the time, it was out of our eyes and in the Compass app, so we weren't aware of it. Today, the feature is still hidden.

Since iOS 12, the scale has migrated to the Measure app. To find it, just open the "Measure" app, then click on the "Level" tab at the bottom.

Or, you can long press the Measurement app and select "Level" from the Quick Actions menu. You can also type "level" or "metric" in the search or ask Siri to open one of them. But you must have an iPhone X or later.

Using a scale or level gauge is fairly simple. However, if you have an iPhone case, you must remove it if you want accuracy.

Now, place the iPhone on the object you are trying to balance, and then note the result on the screen. If the thing is balanced, the screen reads zero degrees (0 degrees) and turns green. And if the object isn't flat, you'll see this displayed on the screen as a positive or negative number, depending on the direction the object is tilting.

If you want to adjust this object to a specific degree, you can use positive and negative numbers to measure its tilt to get an accurate angle reading. You can use this scale tool to measure things horizontally or vertically.

There are multiple ways to use a scale. For things like picture frames, where the surface is thin, you can use the side of the iPhone to weigh this object, as shown above. For larger flat surfaces, such as a table or desk, you can use the back of an iPhone, as shown below.

When using the back of an iPhone, you need to align the two circles together.

If you think the scale is inaccurate, just tap the screen once to reset it. To calibrate it, you can use a perfectly flat surface, place the iPhone on it, and reset the scale. After that, the iPhone should be ready for any future microbalances.

Have you used the scale tool on the iPhone before? Let us know in the comments.
