During his first visit to the Clubhouse podcast and in an interview to promote his new book, Microsoft founder Bill Gates was asked, which do you prefer the iPhone or Android operating system, and why? Gates’s answer was a surprise, but it bears a kind of irony. Let us know his answer.

What's the story

With many celebrities using the clubhouse audio app, such as Elon Musk, founder of Tesla and SpaceX, and Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, one of the questions asked to Bill Gates was "Do you prefer Android or iOS?"

Bill Gates said, "I actually use an Android phone because I want to track everything. I often play with the iPhone, but the device that I rely on is the Android."

Bill Gates had previously announced that he prefers Android, and although he owns an iPhone, nothing has changed, and the iPhone remains in his hands if he wants to use it for any reason, such as entering the Clubhouse audio app for iPhone devices now.

Bill Gates added, "Some Android phone manufacturers install Microsoft software by default and in a way that makes it easier for me. They are more flexible in terms of how applications interact with the operating system, and this is what I'm used to in the end, despite many of my friends owning an iPhone." .

Apparently, Gates prefers the more open nature of the Android system, unlike the iPhone operating system, and Bill admitted two years ago that the way he dealt with Microsoft's mobile division was the biggest mistake as it ended up allowing Google to turn Android to be the only true competitor to the iPhone. IPhone

In fairness to Gates, Steve Ballmer was the CEO of Microsoft at the time and mocked the iPhone, but he cried a lot after Windows Phone failed to obtain any major market share among operating systems, and the result was a final abandonment of Windows Phone, and so Microsoft lost a market worth $ 400 billion. At the time, something Gates still deeply regrets.

Finally, Gates admitted that his relationship with Steve Jobs was unstable and not good, but at the same time he described the founder of Apple as a unique personality.
