Weinbach also claims that this large coil size can be used for reverse wireless charging, which will enable users to charge wireless-charging-compatible devices that don't need as much power as AirPods, by placing them on the back of the iPhone.

Recently, Bloomberg reported that Apple plans to integrate reverse wireless charging capabilities for the next generation iPad Pro in 2022, due to its larger battery compared to the iPhone, and this makes sense, because reverse charging leads to a significant drain on the device's battery. It is known that the iPhone battery is very small, which makes its ability to charge other phones is next to impossible. The largest battery in the iPhone 12 is for the 12 Pro Max and reaches 3687 mAh, which is smaller than the smallest battery in any Android phone. But Apple is characterized by its high ability to manage resources, making the iPhone consumes low power, so the phone lasts for hours with a small battery. But charging requires a real battery. Apple may only provide the wireless charging option in the Pro Max version, but it is very difficult to provide it for the traditional version such as the iPhone 12 because its battery is 2815 mAh.
It is worth noting that most of the top-class Android phones include wireless charging, especially Samsung, which has supported it in the S and Note families since 2019, i.e. it is found in the S10, S20, S21 and others.
