Apple today announced a self-service repair service that will allow customers who prefer to repair their devices themselves the access to original Apple tools and parts. This service will be available first for iPhone 12 and iPhone 13, and soon for Mac devices with the M1 chip. Early next year in the United States to expand to other countries throughout 2022.
Authorized service providers get the same service
The customers join more than 5,000 Apple Authorized Service Providers and 2,800 Independent Repair Service Providers who have access to these parts, tools and manuals.
The initial phase of the program will focus on units that need more maintenance, such as iPhone screens, batteries and cameras, and additional repairs will be available later next year.
Jeff Williams, Apple's chief operating officer, said:
“Providing greater access to genuine Apple parts gives our customers more options when they need repair. In the past three years, Apple has nearly doubled the number of its service centers with access to original parts, tools, and manuals from Apple, and we now offer an option for anyone who wants to do the repairs themselves.”
When an Apple device needs repair, it can be serviced by trained technicians using genuine Apple parts at thousands of locations, including Apple Stores, Apple Authorized Service Providers, independent repair service providers, and now product owners are able to do the repairs themselves.
SELF REPAIR SERVICE
To make sure that the customer can perform the repair safely, it is important that they review the repair brochure first, after that the customer places an order for the purchase of genuine Apple parts and tools through the Apple Store for self-repair online, and after the repair, customers who return the used parts for recycling will get a credit Return.
The new store will offer more than 200 individual parts and tools, allowing customers to carry out the most common repairs for iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 devices.
Self-repair service is available to individual technicians with knowledge and experience of repairing electronic devices. For the vast majority of customers, visiting a professional repair service provider and authorized technicians using genuine Apple parts is the safest and most reliable way to get repaired.
A great move from Apple
This step from Apple is really special, and we believe that Apple is the first company in the field of technology that offers such, and this will make it possible for anyone with experience in repair or a technician not certified by Apple to get the correct instructions, order the original components and do the repair to the fullest, but we can As users, we buy original spare parts from Apple and go to a technician who is skilled in the repair process, thus making sure that we get original replacement parts from Apple instead of bad imitation parts.

This initiative from Apple came due to human rights pressures from organizations and institutions, and soon the entrance to Lightning will be converted to type C.
Unfortunately, the prices will be so high that the company will charge the Apple Care subscription price on the price of the parts, justifying this with the tools and manuals attached to the piece, but this is the easiest thing.
Ok, and if I changed the parts myself, and after a while I needed maintenance, Apple refused the policy of the Apple company.
Whoever says a good step from Apple, “You hate your brother, not a hero,” I think that Apple was forced to take this step and soon it will be forced to support different methods within the applications, which will lead to a 30% decrease in prices.
Great move from Apple
Please post for more details on how to get it in time
This is just an announcement from Apple about the feature and it will be implemented soon. We will definitely write an article about it, God willing.
This step counts for Apple and to strengthen its position among companies as the company communicates with customers better and renews loyalty to this brand
I hope the Arab technical companies will follow suit to be in the ranks of Apple and better than them as well
A good step, and thus we can get the original spare parts (and if we don't know how to install them through a repair shop to install them) instead of bad commercial parts (most of the time) and we guarantee avoiding the side effects of non-original parts. As for getting the parts, that is easy through An American account and an American mailbox, and the problem was solved. I think the price of the parts will be more expensive than usual, but we will guarantee the high quality and relieve us of the frequency of the repair shops.
I see it as a really special step and we hope to spread it to make it easier for us to maintain
