◉ Make sure you are on the My Watch tab.

◉ Scroll down and tap Display & Brightness.

◉ Disable the auto-play option for audio apps.

◉ Now the next time you play a video or audio clip on your iPhone, you won't see the Now Playing screen appear on your Apple Watch.

And if you ever want to go back, all you have to do is repeat the above steps and enable the auto-playing audio apps option.

How to access the audio player control screen manually

The audio player control won't now appear automatically, but you can still access it manually if you want to control what's playing from your Apple Watch, here's how:

◉ First, make sure you play a video or broadcast on your iPhone. It could be a video from YouTube.

◉ Go to the Apple Watch and while on the watch face, press the small white power button at the top of the screen.

◉ The “Now Playing” audio player control screen will open, and it will display the name of everything that is being played on your iPhone.

◉ Once you use the audio player control screen, you will be able to pause or resume videos or music, as well as increase or decrease the volume. If you tap the back button, you'll also be able to see and control what's playing directly on your Apple Watch.

Although it can be annoying, the Now Playing screen can be useful for controlling your iPhone without it near you. You can enable or disable this feature whenever you want, allowing you to experiment with different options.
