Here are the steps to follow to get a custom emoji or emoji in the iPhone status bar.

◉ Go to settings.

◉ Scroll down and tap Focus.

◉ Tap the + button in the top corner of the screen.

◉ Click Custom.

◉ Choose a name for the Focus app.

◉ Select the emoji you want to use, then click Next.

◉ Select who can send you notifications, you can choose all your contacts, then tap Allow.

◉ Select all the apps that can show notifications, then tap Allow.

◉ Click Done.

◉ Now enable your focus mode.

The emoji or icon you selected should now be visible next to the clock in the iPhone's status bar. And if you ever want to change the emoji, just go to the Focus Mode options and select another option.

Note that if location services are turned on and an app is using your current location, the emoji will disappear temporarily, as there will be no place for it in the status bar, and if something is using your location all the time such as the weather widget, the emoji will not appear on Launch, in which case you will have to go to Settings - Privacy and then turn off Location Services.
