How to recover deleted messages on iPhone

You may have deleted an important message by mistake and want to recover it in any way possible, but it is unfortunate that once you delete a message on iOS, there is no instant way to recover it, even the shake iPhone feature to undo this error will not work in this case, nor There is a folder for Recently Deleted like in Reminders and Photos, and we wish Apple would provide this option in the future, but instead, you'll have to go back in time to some point before deleting the message. But it will depend on whether you create a backup, either on a computer or in iCloud, here's how to recover deleted messages on iPhone.

iCloud Backup

Those who own an iPhone have to back up to iCloud regularly, which is something you should do on a regular basis. Because it will make a huge difference in your chances of recovering any data you deleted by mistake in the future.

◉ Connect your device to Wi-Fi, then enter settings and click on your name.

◉ Then log in to iCloud, then activate Messages,

◉ Click iCloud Backup. You may find that this is already turned on, in which case automatic backups are already being created. If not, turn it on.

◉ Make sure iCloud backup is turned on. And if you turned it on, click Backup Now. You should also do this if it appears that your iPhone has not backed up automatically in a while, and will only do so when connected to a Wi-Fi network.

How to recover deleted messages from a backup

If you deleted a text message and want to restore it, you need to check when your last backups were made. This lets you know if restoring a backup will make any difference, since you can restore messages in backups configured before the date the message was deleted.

◉ With the above in mind, go into Settings and tap on your name. Then tap on iCloud.

◉ In the iCloud storage window, click Backups and then select a backup that you think will contain the message you want to recover.

◉ You will see information about the backup, the most important is the date it was last copied. If it looks like it will contain the deleted message, it's time to try to get it back.

◉ Return to the main Settings screen and tap General, scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Transfer or Reset iPhone, then Erase All Content and Settings. Before this, make sure to transfer your photos and videos to a computer if you are not on iCloud.

◉ The iPhone will shutdown and restart, then proceed with the setup process, when you reach the Apps & Data screen, click Restore from iCloud Backup, and choose the backup you selected earlier. All backed up data will be restored.

How to recover deleted messages from a computer backup

It is possible to back up an iPhone to a computer using iTunes on a PC or the Finder on a Mac. After connecting the iPhone to the computer, you will be prompted to backup. On a Mac, just click Backup All Data on iPhone to This Mac, and then click Back Up Now to start the process.

By the way, if I delete a message from the phone, a copy of it will be on the iPad as well as a copy on the iMac and it will not be erased unless I do this on each device separately!

The method in the article is useless

the right way

If you delete a message by mistake

Log in directly to iCloud

Then iMessage

Number to disable backup

The system will ask you do you want to wait for synchronization

Choose: No

Wait a minute and then reactivate iMessage

What will happen now is that the device will sync messages with the last backup

The deleted message will be returned

Maybe many messages and not one message.
And maybe it's an important job-related message or something.

Of course you wouldn't do all this for an unimportant message. But there are those with important life or work messages who would pay any price to get them back.
