This is possible thanks to a technology called VTFET for Vertical Transport Field Effect Transistors, field-effect transistors or vertical field-transistors, and this is the most advanced form of technology that IBM has developed, and is designed in an innovative way to stack transistors vertically On top of each other instead of the current horizontal, ie building upwards, just like the way skyscrapers are built for apartment buildings and skyscrapers.

This new announcement shows how Samsung is considering adopting this new technology in terms of integrating chips with this new design into consumer products such as Galaxy phones.

But what does VTFET technology and chip integration have to do with battery life?

Stacking transistors on any chip vertically allows electricity to flow more efficiently than in a horizontal design, which is a huge improvement and a huge leap forward. Because the phone case will be greatly reduced in size, so we can see mobile phone batteries that can last for more than a week without the need to charge.
