There have been a lot of rumors about major changes in the design of the iPhone 14 for this year, especially the notch. While initial reports indicated that the notch would be completely changed in favor of the new design of the hole, recent reports indicated that Apple plans to design a unique “hole + cut in the form of a drug capsule” in a smaller size. Indeed, a new image appeared, claiming to be the screen of the iPhone 14 Pro Max series.

The image first appeared on Weibo and was later shared by famous leaker John Prosser, who confirmed the allegations, and said that this shape is highly likely, and this shape coincided with other rumors that Apple is already planning to replace the notch in iPhone 14 Pro Max models. And replace it with a hole and then a rectangular hole with circular edges or the shape of the medicine capsule. This indicates that Apple is working on a major change in the design, especially the notch.

And leaker Ross Young, who has shared accurate information in the past and was honest, last month shared a screen layout for the iPhone 14 Pro that shows a noticeably smaller hole and a rectangular, circular-edged hole. In addition, Young's information indicates that the hole in the form of a drug capsule or a rounded rectangle with the edges will be in the middle of the screen, and is relatively small, unlike what appears in the diagrams.

In a related tweet, Young said that this layout will appear for the first time on all models of the iPhone 2023 series, as it is expected that it will only be shown in iPhone 14 Pro Max devices only. The lower iPhone 14 models will have the notch.

If the iPhone 2023 series will use a notch or a hole or both, or any form of screen obstruction, that will disappoint many customers who were hoping to see a screen free of all this and hoping to make it at the bottom of the screen. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple plans to put Face ID under the screen starting in 2023, suggesting a flawless screen design.

The iPhone 14 lineup will include four models consisting of two 6.1-inch and two 6.7-inch sizes. Along with the high-end models that feature a perforated screen design and a capsule-shaped notch, the entire range is believed to come with a major redesign with a slimmer notch, circular buttons, and a new speaker grille reminiscent of the iPhone 4.

What do you think of the design of the new iPhone? Do you prefer it with the old notch or the new one, or without it at all? Tell us in the comments.
