Months and Apple will announce its new phone, and leaks indicate a greater prominence for the iPhone 14 Pro and Max camera. The increasing size of the rear camera array for the iPhone 14 Pro and Max is due to the wide primary camera systems that will come with 48 megapixels, and this indicates a completely new imaging system , according to famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

In his tweet, Kuo responded to leaked charts recently shared by Max Weinbach, where the charts showed the rear camera plateau of the iPhone 14 Pro models would increase by about five percent in each dimension, increasing from 35.01 mm wide to 36.73 mm and 36.24 mm high to 38.21 mm. The prominence rose from 3.60 mm on the iPhone 13 Pro to 4.17 mm on the iPhone 14 Pro.

The main reason for the larger and more prominent camera bump, Kuo said, is due to the rear camera's upgrade to 48 megapixels. He added that the diagonal length of the CIS contact image sensor is scheduled to increase by 25% to 35% with the transition to 48 megapixels. Likewise, the height of the viewfinder system will increase by five to ten percent.

Besides replacing the front notch with a new TrueDepth camera array design in the form of a medicine capsule and a hole for the front camera, the 48MP wide camera is among the iPhone 14 Pro's most widely popular features, and has been mentioned repeatedly by Kuo and Taiwanese research firm TrendForce and Haitong International Securities.

The 48MP camera system is expected to be limited to iPhone 14 Pro models and allow for 8K video recording, providing a significant upgrade over the iPhone 13 Pro's 12MP camera and 4K video recording capabilities. The 8K HD videos recorded with the iPhone 14 Pro are also said to be suitable for viewing on the long-rumored AR/VR headset.

Kuo previously said that he believes the camera quality of the iPhone 14 Pro models will take mobile camera photography to a whole new level.

What do you think of the upcoming camera design for the iPhone 14 Pro? Do you think that Apple will provide a new leap in phone photography as a whole? Tell us in the comments.
