Make yourself a memoji in FaceTime

You can customize a memoji that looks like you with an iPhone or iPad with Face ID with a TrueDepth camera to appear as a memoji on your next FaceTime call, but first you'll need to create your own. And if you have multiple Apple devices with the same Apple account, any memoji you use on one of your devices will sync across all the others. ◉ Press the Text Label (Aa) button. Then click to expand the selection, then choose a text label. The text label will appear on your screen. Type the text you want to appear to change the default text, then tap away.

◉ Hold the text and drag it to where you want it to appear on your screen.

◉ If you want a memoji to appear on your screen, tap the big smiley face to select, then select a memoji, tap anywhere on the screen, check your box, and then drag the memoji to where you want it to stay.

◉ To remove the text label or memoji, just tap on it and hit the delete button.


Add stickers to your FaceTime screen

There are a variety of stickers you can add to the FaceTime screen. While on a FaceTim call, tap on your tile, then do any of the following:

◉ Add a memoji sticker: Tap on the memoji icon, then select any of the icons at the top. Choose from the available stickers, then drag the sticker anywhere on your screen.

◉ Add an emoji sticker: Tap on the emoji sticker icon, then choose one, then drag it to the screen.

◉ Standard Emoticons Stickers: Tap the Effects button, select Text Label (Aa), expand the selection, tap the smiley face, then select an emoji.


Add skins to your FaceTime screen

You can also add funky, static or animated shapes to your FaceTime screen. Here's how to do it:

◉ Just select the shapes icon or the red scribble icon.

◉ Then choose the shape you want to add to the screen.

◉ Drag the shape anywhere on the screen.

◉ You can also pin the shape to your face so that it follows you even as you move. Just drag it to your face and wait for a yellow frame to appear.


Use Portrait Mode with FaceTime
