Nothing or "Nothing" company based in London and founded by "Carl Bay", the former president of OnePlus, announced a new phone under the name iPhone 1, which will be officially unveiled on July 12, and the company claims that it will revolutionize the world of Android. The company had previously released transparent earphones called Nothing Ear 1, and recently the company announced the first official look at the design of its new phone, iPhone 1. Here's everything we know about this awaited phone.

As of last April, startup Nothing has raised over $144 million, of which $63 million came from Android community investors and the rest from venture capitalists. The company's founder, Carl Bay, claims that the new phone will be a "convincing alternative" to Apple, and gave information about the design, but did not disclose the performance and specifications and postponed talking about them until the official announcement of the phone.

◉ The iPhone 1 is scheduled to be announced on July 12th.

◉ iPhone 1 features a transparent design, with a back cover showing some internal components, such as the wireless charging coil.

◉ iPhone 1 will be powered by a Qualcomm processor, and no generation has been confirmed yet, it is said that it will work with the first generation Snapdragon 7 or 8 processor.

◉ The phone will be running Nothing OS, and the company promises that it will be fast, smooth and learn from your usage, and that apps will open and close at breakneck speed.

◉ The iPhone 1 will support three years of system updates and four years of security updates.

◉ iPhone 1 uses bitmap fonts “Matrix” and old graphic elements, such as the cassette tape design in the voice recorder app.

◉ The company promises seamless support for third-party products such as AirPods and Tesla cars.

Release Date & Availability for Nothing iPhone 1

The first new iPhone unveiling event will take place on July 12 at 11 AM ET, 8 AM PT, 4 PM GMT.

There is no news about prices at the moment, and according to the direction of Carl Bay, who helped make OnePlus products in the cheap price range, although they are good, so the price is expected to be lower than competing phones such as Samsung S22 or OnePlus 10 Pro, or even a Google phone Pixel 6.

A new leak from Allround PC claims that the iPhone 1 will be launched on July 21 for around €500. But there is no confirmation of this.

Nothing iPhone 1 design

The design of the Nothing Phone 1 was shown before it was revealed, it has a transparent back and obviously has a large wireless charging coil. But the other components of the phone are not visible, and it is equipped with a dual rear camera such as the iPhone, flat sides, volume and power buttons on the left and right edges.

The most interesting thing than transparency is the LED strips on the back, and we don't know yet if they have any practical purpose, but it certainly looks interesting, and it might be for alerting when the phone is on its face, for example.

Nothing OS

The screenshots we've seen so far show an always-on screen, rounded app icons, some custom Nothing widgets, and a black and white design.

The company says Nothing OS is the best Android system with a "distinctive design language". It appears that less than 40% of the apps are pre-installed and overall the system is close to the usual Android experience.
