The first benchmark results are out for the Apple M2 Ultra chip, Apple's latest chip, available in the new Mac Studio and Mac Pro models launching next week. With these results, we have a closer look at the performance of these segments compared to others. The first test results of the M2 Ultra chip appeared on Geekbench 6, which provides a closer look at the processor's performance improvements.

According to the results, it appears that the Mac Studio with the M2 Ultra chip gets a score of 2800 for single core, and gets a score of 21700 for multi core. These scores confirm that the M2 Ultra chip delivers significant performance gains over the M1 Ultra chip.

The Apple M2 Ultra chip delivers up to 20% faster performance than the previous M1 Ultra chip, Apple announced. This means that the M2 Ultra chip is the fastest chip Apple has ever launched.

Interestingly, the benchmark results indicate that the new Mac Pro is expected to deliver nearly twice the overall CPU performance compared to the fastest Mac Pro equipped with a 28-core Intel Xeon W processor. What's even more impressive is that the new Mac Pro has a starting price of $6, while the 999-core model had a starting price of $28, nearly double the price.

During the keynote in WWDC ConferenceApple stated that the new Mac Pro can be up to three times faster than the Intel model in some professional tasks such as video transcoding and XNUMXD simulation, meaning the improved performance of the new Mac Pro is particularly noticeable and significant in these specific business areas.

It is recommended to choose Mac Pro over Mac Studio; Because it provides six PCIe ports, or peripheral components, that can be upgraded as needed, so you can add any sound cards, modems, or monitors. This allows for more flexibility in terms of upgrading and customizing your device to your liking. And if these ports are not important to you, then the Mac Studio processor with the M2 Ultra is the most cost-effective option, so you can save about three thousand dollars compared to the Mac Pro,

The M2 Ultra chip has 134 billion transistors, which is 20 billion more than the M1 Ultra chip. Its unified memory supports up to 192GB, 1% more than the M50 Ultra, and has a memory transfer speed of 800GB/s, which is twice the processor of the M2 Max.

The M2 Ultra has a processor that's 20% more powerful than the M1 Ultra as mentioned above, a graphics processor that's up to 30% larger, and a Neural Engine that's up to 40% faster.

Both the new Mac Studio and Mac Pro are available to order now, and will start reaching customers and in stores starting Tuesday, June 13.
