When you are a person wanted for surveillance, one of the most secure applications you use is the iMessage application. The reason is that Apple has secured the iMessage application with advanced encryption tools. However, there are ways to circumvent the Messages application, and Apple is always working to close these methods, and one of the tricks that... It is possible for people to fall into this error by contacting them using the number of someone they know, and thinking that they are talking to them, but the hacker is on the other side. To avoid this, Apple introduced a new feature called “Contact Key” or “iMessage Contact Key,” starting with iOS 17.2. In this article, we will learn how to activate this feature.

What is the Contact Key feature in iMessage app

When you use iMessage, your messages are end-to-end encrypted so that no one other than you and the person you're messaging — not even Apple — can read them while they're in transit between devices.

Contact Key Verification protects iMessage conversations more advancedly and helps verify that you're only messaging the people you want to message.

The iMessage contact key automatically checks and makes sure you're messaging the person you want to message. But the feature works in iMessage conversations with people who also have iMessage contact key verification turned on.

You will receive an alert if there is an error in the verification process. These alerts help ensure that even a highly sophisticated hacker cannot impersonate anyone in the conversation.

Requirements to turn on the iMessage Contact Key feature

To use iMessage Contact Key Verification, you need to:

  • iOS 17.2, watchOS 9.2, and macOS 14.2 on all Devices where you're signed in to iMessage with your Apple ID
  • You're signed in to iCloud and iMessage with the same Apple ID
  • The iCloud series has been turned on for everyone Devices
  • Turn on two-factor authentication for your Apple ID
  • A passcode or password for all your devices

Note: When you turn on iMessage Contact Key Verification on one of your Apple devices, it's turned on for all devices where you're signed in with your Apple ID.

When you turn on iMessage contact key verification, you may be prompted to update all your devices to a compatible software version. If you have a device that can't be updated, you'll need to sign out of iMessage on that device before you can turn on iMessage contact key verification.

  1. Open the Settings app (or System Settings on a Mac), then select your name.

This feature is not for the average person

Do not use this feature unless you think that someone is spying on you, or there is a possibility that someone is spying on you, and do not say that my wife is spying on me, so I will use this feature. Your wife must be working in a global hacking cell funded with millions of dollars so that you can obtain this technology. Impersonation, must penetrate telecommunications companies, and have tools available only to major espionage organizations. If you marry a woman like this, I advise you to run away.

No joke, this is a technology only for those in high positions, people with state secrets and others, not for us ordinary users who publish their location on social media platforms at every moment. Personally, I will not use this feature, because everyone I communicate with must have done it, and I need to upgrade all my devices, and a high sense of security is not compatible with my lifestyle.

Why do we share this feature with you then, simply because it is science, and you must learn everything, even if you benefit from it now, you may benefit from it later, or benefit someone, so what do you think of this feature? Tell us in the comments.
