It's been about three years since Apple introduced the tracker Air TagIt is a small device that can track your items and purposes, such as a bag, car keys, an umbrella, even a bicycle, and any personal item that you are afraid of losing. However, we haven't heard about any plans for Apple's own tracker since then. But apparently the company intends to launch the second generation of AirTag in the middle of next year 2025.
Airtag tracking tool
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, a new version of the AirTag is scheduled to arrive around the middle of next year. The first tracker was announced in April 2021, so it's possible that the company will launch the second generation around the same time next year. Gurman also reported that Apple is conducting manufacturing tests with its partners in Asia in order to ship the new product, codenamed B589, in 2025.
What's new in AirTag 2
In his regular newsletter, Gorman said the second-generation AirTag tracker will come with a number of new features. Including, a better chip with improved location tracking functionality. Gorman also believes that the AirTag 2 will feature the same second-generation UWB ultra-wideband chip as the iPhone 15, ninth-generation Apple Watch, and Watch Ultra 2.
While the U1 chip only works at a distance of a few meters (about 10 metres), Apple's second generation UWB chip is able to cover a longer distance of up to 60 metres. This allowed Apple to create a new feature that allows users to find their friends through the precise search feature.
Finally, Apple is expected to launch the second generation of the Airtag tracker in various forms, and it will also integrate with the Vision Pro mixed reality glasses.

Thick. If the electrical circuit was like a ring around the battery, it would be thinner. If there was a model that supports wireless charging, it would be better.
Welcome Von Islam 😊, your ideas are really great! Unfortunately, these matters depend on many technical and design factors that Apple must take into consideration. As we know, Apple always seeks to strike a balance between design and performance. And yes, wireless charging would be an amazing addition of course! 🚀🍏
I have an air tag, but it is annoying and makes noises with every movement
If I touch it, a sound comes out. I don't know how to cancel the sound
Update 17.5.1 will be released today, May 21, 2024, at XNUMX:XNUMX pm GMT. Good luck to everyone.
Good news, and I hope that the previous defects will be corrected, such as the problem of the battery poles and others. Thank you and may God reward you with the best reward.
Dear Mufleh 😊, Thank you for your beautiful comment. Yes, we also hope that Apple will improve and fix all the issues it has faced in the past. Apple always strives to provide the best to its users, and we are waiting to see what it will offer in AirTag 2 🍎🚀.
I have 3 of them, one of them is in the keys and the other 2 I haven't used!
The battery in the keys is dead and I didn't care to replace it, except that it consumes the iPhone battery! Due to constant site updates!
Change it once and it will last about 6 months, unlike the original battery that came with it, which lasts more than a year!
You're welcome, Mohamed👋, It seems like your battery-hungry AirTag always wants to be in the spotlight! 🎭But we must admit, these small devices may consume some power from the iPhone during the update process. Remember, replacing your AirTag battery is easy and can be done at home 🏠. And with the second generation AirTag on the horizon, we may see improvements in power consumption! 🚀🔋 Anyway, thanks for your experience and sharing it with us!
Peace be upon you. Apple always promises us continuity in creativity and keeping up with everything new. Thank you for the news
