How to transfer messages from old iPhone to new iPhone

There is no doubt that you have encountered this matter, and since you are a veteran in using the iPhone, you may know many things that others who are new to the iPhone do not know, including transferring messages to the new iPhone from the old one. One of us may be worried about losing his data, especially messages. But do not worry, the process of transferring messages, especially from the old iPhone to the new one, is quick and easy using the methods mentioned below.

From iPhoneIslam.com, two smartphones, including the new iPhone, display icons for sending and receiving documents. There's a glowing envelope icon in the middle, surrounded by concentric neon rings. The background features a dark grid pattern, highlighting the seamless transfer of messages between devices.

Transfer messages using iCloud sync

Thanks to iCloud, you won't need to spend a long time transferring all your messages. Using iCloud sync is one of the simplest ways to transfer messages to your new iPhone. Just like photos, contacts, notes, and other data, messages can be synced to other devices using the same iCloud account, including your new iPhone.

To activate iCloud sync on your old iPhone, follow these steps:

◉ Open Settings and access your Apple account at the top.

◉ Access iCloud and select “Show All” from the following menu.

◉ Click on “Messages in iCloud” and activate the “Use on this iPhone” option.

From iPhoneIslam.com, a screenshot of messages in iCloud settings on iPhone. Options offered include managing storage, message sync status, and a currently turned on message sync option to make it easier to transfer new messages to iPhone.

◉ Then log in using the same iCloud account on the new iPhone and sync messages using the same steps.

◉ Wait for a while, and your messages will transfer to the new iPhone.

Restore messages using iCloud backup

From iPhoneIslam.com, the smartphone screen displays the iCloud Backup page with options to back up the device and view iPhone and iPad backups, perfect for transferring messages between the old iPhone and the new iPhone. The phone displays 9:41 AM and has an active Wi-Fi connection.

If you haven't set up your new iPhone yet, you can create an iCloud backup on your old iPhone and restore it to the new device. This method allows you to transfer all your data, including messages, from the old iPhone in one go.

To create an iCloud backup on your old iPhone:

◉ Open Settings and tap your name or your Apple account at the top.

◉ Go to iCloud > iCloud Backup or iCloud Backup.

◉ Activate the “Back Up This iPhone” option and click on the “Back Up Now” option below.

◉ This process may take some time, depending on the size of your data.

Once the backup is complete, start setting up your new iPhone. Follow the initial steps on the setup screen and choose Restore from iCloud Backup on the Apps & Data page. Enter your Apple account information and choose the most recent iCloud backup.

Wait for the restore process to complete, and your messages will appear on the new iPhone. You can then choose to delete messages from your old iPhone if you want.

Recover messages using a PC or Mac

From iPhoneIslam.com, a screenshot showing iPhone 12 settings in Finder on macOS. The screen shows the software version, iCloud backup, local backup options, and the latest backup information on 29/5/2024 at 10:06 AM. Ideal for those who transfer data from old iPhone to new iPhone.

Another way to transfer messages to the new iPhone is by restoring an iPhone backup that you created on your computer. Similar to the previous method, this process will recover all your iPhone data, including your messages.

To back up data on your old iPhone, follow these steps:

◉ Connect the old iPhone to your computer using a cable. If you are connecting to it for the first time, the Trust Computer window will appear. Click “Trust” on your iPhone and enter your passcode.

◉ Open a program Apple devices On a Windows PC or Finder on a Mac.

◉ Select your iPhone from the left panel and go to the “General” tab.

◉ Choose “Back up all of the data on your iPhone to this computer” and press the “Backup Now” button.

◉ Select whether you want to encrypt data or not moving forward.

◉ Wait until the backup is complete, then connect the new iPhone to the same computer. Choose “Restore iPhone” this time, and all your backup data, including messages, will be restored to the new iPhone.

That's all about the process of transferring messages to the new iPhone which should be easy, simple and not take long, no matter which method you choose.

Have you transferred your data from an old iPhone to a new one before? What method did you follow? Tell us in the comments.

There is a nice thing that you can do to make a backup copy even if it is one terabyte in size for free without subscribing via the feature of transfer to a new iPhone. Go to Settings, then General, then Reset, then Transfer to a new iPhone, but according to my information, they give you three times a year, so naturally you will not use this feature unless you transfer to a second phone. The copy will be there for a period of 21 days and copy all the data as if you are subscribed to iCloud. How to restore the backup copy When some activation settings are completed on the new iPhone, it will come to you from where you want to transfer the data. Click iCloud and transfer the data, or if you do not want to use iCloud at all to synchronize data, choose Transfer from iPhone to iPhone. I remove the second one. When you turn on message synchronization and you have more than one phone with the same iCloud, the good thing is that the message reaches all phones even if there is no SIM card and the same thing. Calls can be answered with any phone. You read the message with any phone, but you will not be able to call or answer except with the primary phone. I was shocked after I saw the number of characters. I felt as if I wrote an article on the site. The number of characters that I have reached so far is approximately 1000 characters. Come on, God willing, you will benefit From my information, and Happy New Year

Welcome, Ibrahim 🙌🏼. To transfer data from WhatsApp between Android and iPhone or vice versa, you must use an external application such as “Dr.Fone” or “iCareFone for WhatsApp Transfer”. These applications have the advantage of transferring data directly from one device to another. But you should know that these applications are usually paid. We hope this response helped you and thank you for trusting iPhoneIslam 😊📱
