Discover Control Center in iOS 18: amazing customizations and innovative features from Apple

Come iOS 18 With a major update to the Control Center, Apple has expanded its capabilities and customizability. Apple has divided the controls into category-based groups that you can navigate seamlessly, as well as integrating elements from third-party apps, and more. Here's how to customize and use Control Center in iOS 18.

From iPhoneIslam.com, A close-up of hands holding a smartphone, showing its screen with iOS 18's central control options, including flashlight, Airplane mode, Wi-Fi, and volume sliders.

Control Center was first launched in 2013 with iOS 7. Although it has had some tweaks over the past decade, it has remained largely the same. But it received a restructuring of the easy-to-use controls in iOS 18, as it now includes the “Favorites” page as the first screen when you swipe until it appears, and as you continue to swipe you will find other pages such as “Music,” “Home,” and “Contacts.”

All new Control Center pages are customizable, and you can add more pages to the Control Center.

To provide more functionality, Apple has opened the Control Center for third-party applications, and you can call it from the iPhone lock screen as well as the home screen.

How to customize and use Control Center in iOS 18

From iPhoneIslam.com, three screenshots of the iPhone interface. The first displays the Control Center with an orange “+” sign. The second also shows Control Center with Add Control highlighted, embodying the Personalization feature in iOS 18. The third shows additional central control options for controlling the device.

◉ First you have to install Trial version From iOS 18.

◉ From the lock screen or home screen, swipe down from the upper right corner of the screen, and you can stop at the first Control Center screen “Favorites” or continue swiping down to access the Control Center pages for Music, Home, or Communications.

◉ Press the + sign in the upper-left corner to add and customize controls, or long press in an empty space.

◉ Drag from the corner handle to zoom in or out of the control.

◉ When you enter editing mode, you can click the dotted circle icon at the bottom of the Contacts page to create a fifth or sixth Control Center page from scratch.

There are many native iOS controls you can add, and you can also use the search bar at the top. Over time, we will also see controls from third-party apps released, perhaps in future updates.

After adding new buttons and controls, you can experiment with long-pressing and dragging from a corner to increase or decrease the size.

From iPhoneIslam.com, a digital mock-up of three iPhone Control Center screens, each containing various quick settings and app controls, highlighting changes to screen recording and Dark Mode icons, and showcasing iOS 18's burn-in features.

Here's what the Music, Home, and Contact pages look like, all of whose default settings you can customize and change as you please.

From iPhoneIslam.com, four smartphone screenshots showing various Control Center menus. Menus include music playback, home automation controls, network settings, and an “Add a control” option. These features highlight how iOS 18 improves Control Center for seamless functionality and customization.

To add another page, enter edit mode, then click the dotted circle icon, as shown in the previous screenshot on the far right.

There's even a new power button in the Control Center in the top-right corner to quickly turn off your device.

Of course, this is not all about the new Control Center in iOS 18, we will have to wait for the third-party controls and see what they look like. Apple may add other features or modifications in the future.

I could not get used to the new control center. It seems to me that the old one is better
An important point: Why cannot a shortcut be added to turn on and off location services from the Control Center, a feature I have been waiting for for years to no avail. Things like this make me think about leaving the Apple world.

Hello Azouz Vali 🙋‍♂️, I understand your reservations about the new control center, but new things may take some getting used to. As for the feature of adding a shortcut to turn on and off location services from the Control Center, this is up to Apple itself. Maybe we can see this feature in future updates! 🍏🚀 And don't forget, everything in the Apple world is designed to make our lives easier. It may take some time to get used to the changes but in the end you will find that it was worth the wait. 😄

The world of iOS and technology

I heard that Apple added a button whose name I do not remember, but its name refers to turning off Bluetooth directly from the Control Center, not like before. You turn off Bluetooth from the Control Center and it keeps working in the settings.
This applies to Wi-Fi as well
Do you remember in iOS 11
We turned off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth from the control center, and after a few hours, Bluetooth turned on automatically

Hello world of iOS and technology! 🍏 Indeed, this was annoying in iOS 11, where Bluetooth and Wi-Fi would automatically return to work after a while of turning them off from the Control Center. But in the latest system updates, Apple has made it easier for users to control these settings. 😃📱

My question is about the /App Ad application. What happened to it, knowing that I am a subscriber?

Hello Hail Sniper 🎯, the “Abb Aad” application is still available, but you must make sure to update it to the latest version. If you face any problem, you can delete and reinstall the app from the App Store. We hope this answer helped you 😉.

I downloaded the iOS 18 update to beta 4.5, and I did not notice that the Control Center is any different from what it was, but rather minor changes. A key to turn off the phone at the top, and the shape of some icons has become circular with a music key, and it does not work unless purchased at a high price. As for them, they remain the same as before, and there is no difference worth mentioning, as is the case. There is nothing in artificial intelligence, and it is said in the next beta, and it may be postponed to iOS 19 or 20, and God knows best.

As I mentioned in the article, new pages and controls can be added, and of course this new step would open the door to more customization in the future. In addition, there may be some advantages that have not yet been discovered! 🕵️‍♂️ Get ready to explore! Don't worry, I will update you on this issue. 🍎📱
