Want to keep your AirPods clean and ready to use at all times? Apple has provided the right way to clean your headphones in a simple and effective way using readily available materials! All you need is micellar water and a soft toothbrush.

From iPhoneIslam.com, a how-to image showing two AirPods on the right and text on the left, “The correct way to control AirPods.”

Let's take a look at the materials you'll need:

1

Micellar water

If you’re a woman, you probably know what micellar water is, which Apple recommends for cleaning your headphones. If you’re a man, there’s a good chance you don’t. But it’s simple: It’s water that contains a molecule called a micelle, which is a complex molecule made up of skin-cleansing substances. Micelles have unique properties: a hydrophilic head that’s water-soluble, and a lipophilic tail that attracts oily substances and doesn’t mix with water.

From iPhoneIslam.com, A person stands in front of a wooden table with a clear water bottle, a bottle with a red cap, and a stick nearby, carefully and meticulously cleaning AirPods.

Apple recommends that the micellar water contains PEG-6 like the one found in Bioderma or Neutrogena products.

Distilled water or any clean water

Soft toothbrush, preferably for children

two small cups

paper towel

Let's start the cleaning process!

From iPhoneIslam.com, a comparison image of Apple's AirPods 3 and AirPods 4, with a focus on the distinct sensor placements.

You will clean each mesh in your earphones three times with micellar water and then rinse them with distilled water. Don't worry, this process will only take five minutes and your earphones will be ready to dry in just two hours.

From iPhoneIslam.com, A person stirs liquid in a cup using a stick, next to a bottle of apple juice and a cleaning cloth on a wooden surface.

Start by adding a little micellar water to one of the cups and immerse your toothbrush in it until the bristles are completely wet.

From iPhoneIslam.com A person holds a light green toothbrush, applying toothpaste to the bristles to ensure they are effectively brushing their teeth. Nearby, Apple's AirPods are ready for the next day.

Hold your speaker with the mesh facing up and begin cleaning it in gentle circular motions for just 15 seconds.

From iPhoneIslam.com, Hands carefully fold a blue cloth next to an empty cup on a wooden surface, preparing to clean AirPods.

After completing the initial cleaning, dry the mesh with a paper towel to ensure that any liquid residue is removed.

From iPhoneIslam.com, On a wooden table, a person carefully measures liquid from a bottle into a cup using a pipette. Nearby, AirPods are placed next to the task, increasingly useful for enjoying music while focusing on precise work.

Repeat this process two more times to ensure perfect cleaning of the speaker grilles.

Next, it's time to rinse the meshes with distilled water in the same way you did with the micellar water. Dip the brush again, but this time in the distilled water, and scrub the meshes in gentle circular motions for another 15 seconds before drying them with a paper towel.

From iPhoneIslam.com, two white stylized figures with round eyes stand on a black background, decorated with stars and circles resembling AirPods.

Finally, allow the earbuds to dry completely for at least two hours before placing them in the charging case or using them again.

With these simple and fun steps you can keep your AirPods clean and ready to listen to your favorite music without any problems! Try this method today and see the difference for yourself!

Blessings to you

I mean these headphones that go on our heads and the other half in the ears, they are excellent, but they cause heat in the ears, that is their flaw. Anas uses Bluetooth headphones.

Well done, great article.
I have a note, which is that instead of saying and enjoying listening to music, it should be in the audio material or any other appropriate word, because not everyone listens to music. There are podcasts, audio books, and other audio materials.
Sincerely

Is micellar water safe for internal and electronic parts?
Can the same material be used to clean iPhone speakers?

Hello, shepherds 🙋‍♂️, micellar water is safe for both internal and electronic parts, but the amount used must be careful and do not completely submerge the device in it. As for iPhone headphones, yes, micellar water can be used to clean them. Just remember not to completely submerge the headphones in water, and to make sure they are completely dry before using them again. And always remember: if there is something that looks like an apple on your device, you are safe! 😁🍏

The AirPods Pro are great. Dirt gets stuck in the rubber and there is a mesh or a slit that catches the dirt. When I come to clean, I take out the rubber and wash it as I please, apply soap, dry it, and after it dries, I put it back in. As for the headphones themselves, they are clean and no dirt gets on them. They don’t need cleaning at all because the rubber is like a filter that doesn’t get anything on the headphones themselves.

The problems of hearing aids on hearing and their harms are greater than their benefits, unfortunately. My advice for the safety of your hearing is to avoid them.
