But there are a few things you need to keep in mind when shipping.

From iPhoneIslam.com, the new Apple Watch with orange band displays a glowing green charging icon, surrounded by electric green light effects, showcasing the Apple Watch's fast charging capabilities.

Which Apple Watch models support fast charging?

From iPhoneIslam.com, five smartwatches, including an Apple Watch, with different band styles and displays, arranged side by side.

◉ Apple Watch 7 charges from 0 to 80% in about 45 minutes.

◉ Apple Watch 8 charges from 0 to 80% in about 45 minutes.

◉ Apple Watch 9 charges from 0 to 80% in about 45 minutes.

◉ Apple Watch 10 charges from 0 to 80% in about 30 minutes.

◉ Apple Watch Ultra charges from 0 to 80% in about an hour.

Apple has a support document detailing fast charging features with the Apple Watch 7, Apple Watch 8, Apple Watch 9, Apple Watch 10, and Apple Watch Ultra.

What do you need to fast charge your Apple Watch?

From iPhoneIslam.com, a white magnetic charging cable designed to charge your Apple Watch, featuring a circular charging pad and a USB-C connector.

The Apple Watch comes in the box with a USB-C magnetic fast charging cable. This cable has two ends: a USB-C end that plugs into your charger or computer, and a circular magnetic end that sticks to the back of your watch.

The difference between this new cable and the old ones is in the circular magnetic part: in the old cables the outer cover of the magnetic part was made of plastic. While in the new cable, the outer cover is made of aluminum, which helps improve charging speed.

From iPhoneIslam.com, the new Apple Watch features a gray band and sits on a charging pad illuminated with a blue light, showing you how to charge as quickly as possible.

Apple includes one of these cables in the box with the Apple Watch Series 7, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Series 10, and Ultra. If you want to charge your watch in different locations like home or work, you can purchase additional fast charging cables separately.

The cable is 1 meter long and is available for $29. The model number of the cable is A2515, so make sure you buy that specific model if you're purchasing from a third party other than Apple or Amazon.

From iPhoneIslam.com, a white charging cable with a USB connector on one end and a magnetic disc on the other, perfect for charging your new Apple Watch as quickly as possible.

The second part of the equation is the charger, or what some call the “plug,” that you plug into the wall. As part of Apple’s initiative to protect the environment and reduce electronic waste, Apple no longer includes a charger in the box. This means you'll have to use a charger you already have or buy a new one.

Apple says that any USB-C charger that supports USB Power Delivery 5W or better is capable of fast charging the Apple Watch. You can find these chargers on Amazon from trusted companies like Anker for under $20.

Apple compatible chargers

From iPhoneIslam.com, a black smartwatch with a digital display showing the time 14:35 on a wooden surface, and a white charging cable that provides the fastest charging connected to the Apple Watch.

Here is a list of chargers you can use for fast charging:

◉ Official Apple chargers, such as any Apple USB-C charger with 18W or higher, such as Apple chargers with 18, 20, 29, 30, 61, 87, or 96W.

◉ Chargers from other companies, such as any USB-C charger that supports USB-PD technology, fast charging technology, provided that its power is at least 5 watts.

In other words, you can use official Apple chargers or other companies' chargers, as long as they support fast charging and meet the minimum required power.

Finally, you should know that some of Apple's older charging docks don't support fast charging, such as the MagSafe Duo dock and the discontinued Magnetic Charging Dock. Even if you use the right fast charging cable and charger, you won't get fast charging. But there is a workaround, which is that you can buy any charging dock from another company and put your own fast charging disc in it.

The fastest thing is the MacBook charger that burns the watch 🤣🤣

Hello and welcome, Mohammed 😄 Don't worry, the MacBook fast charger won't turn your watch into a grill 🍗🔥. Just make sure to use compatible chargers according to the specifications mentioned by Apple, and your watch will remain safe. But if you start smelling barbecue, you might want to consider changing the charger! 😂👍🏼

Thanks for the article, it is certainly useful for Apple to add a fast charging feature to its watches, but in my opinion the biggest problem is the short battery life after charging.

Hi Abu Nawaf 🙋‍♂️, your comment adds a touch of truth! Fast charging is great but what about the battery life after charging? This is a good point to think about. Maybe Apple should consider these comments in their future designs, after all, who doesn't want a smartwatch that they can use for as long as possible after a full charge? 😅 Thanks for enriching the discussion Abu Nawaf!

I have 3 Apple Watches, Generation 4, 6 and 8, and I charge them all with the Generation 4 watch cable because there is no USB C charger head, and the main reason is that I don’t like having a lot of chargers and being confused between them!
I have no problem charging the watch and I don't get bored, it's my personal companion!

Hi Abbas 🙋‍♂️, Unfortunately, fast charging is not supported on the Apple Watch 5. This feature started to be available starting from the Apple Watch 7 and above. But don't worry, the fast charging cable works with all Apple Watches, you just won't benefit from the fast charging feature on the Apple Watch 5. Good luck! 🍀
