Samsung and Apple: A Complex Business Relationship

From iPhoneIslam.com, below the Samsung logo, the images show the display layers of the CPU, DRAM, and AMOLED display, highlighting their role in improving the device's performance alongside the iPhone's camera sensor.

Samsung is both a major supplier of components to Apple's devices and a competitor to Apple. It makes important parts like displays and memory chips that Apple needs.

But this collaboration benefits both companies: Apple gets high-quality components from a trusted manufacturer and Samsung generates significant revenue from component sales ($43.7 billion in 2023 from Apple). The manufacturing expertise gained helps Samsung’s own products, and despite the competition in the phone business, Samsung Electronics operates independently from its Samsung Mobile division, treating Apple as a valued customer while maintaining confidentiality. This type of “competitive collaboration” is common in the tech industry, where companies may compete in one area while partnering in others.

From iPhoneIslam.com, the Samsung and Apple logos are paired with floating dollar bills, suggesting financial themes related to tech companies. The iconic branding signals competition while showcasing advanced technology such as advanced sensors and Samsung’s own iPhone sensors.

Samsung partners with Apple to provide unparalleled cameras!

Without a doubt, the collaboration between Samsung and Apple will be a very important step for both parties. Sources indicate that the new sensor that Samsung is working on providing to Apple will be much more powerful than the Exmor RS sensors that Sony has been providing to Apple since 2011. By the way, talking about Sony, it has been the main supplier to Apple for more than 10 years. The question that arises is: What happened to make Apple change its course to another supplier like Samsung unless Apple knows that its requests will not be met by a company other than Samsung.

However, if Apple decides to partner with Samsung and abandon Sony, this will have a huge impact on Apple’s relationship with all its suppliers. Especially since the entire tech market knows how dedicated Sony has been to providing the best iPhone cameras for many years.

From iPhoneIslam.com, Samsung is said to be developing an advanced “triple-layer stacked” sensor for Apple’s cameras, claiming it’s more advanced than Sony’s Exmor RS and a potential prime sensor candidate for future iPhone cameras.

If we return to the context of the iPhone camera sensor, sources confirm that the new technology will improve the quality of images and reduce the distance that data travels during processing. All of this will certainly enhance the overall performance of the cameras in capturing high-quality, fast images.

It is worth noting that Apple intends to get rid of its dependence on Qualcomm modemIt is also working on developing alternative internal solutions for upcoming versions of iPhones. Therefore, it is working on creating its own modem, with the aim of enhancing Apple’s dominance in the performance of its devices and adding new features based on its future vision.

From iPhoneIslam.com, a close-up view of a smartphone camera lens array, likely from a Samsung device, shows two lenses and a flash on a smooth, reflective surface with advanced sensor technology.

It doesn't end there, Apple intends to develop its own chips for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, called Proxima. This will replace the chips provided to Apple by Broadcom. These new chips could be launched in 2025. All of these plans are certainly beneficial for Apple. But the question: What will be the reaction of its suppliers? Will it be a new beginning for Apple’s independence in the future to be the company that manufactures and provides everything in the smartphone market!

I don't think this is a good trend from Apple because Samsung phones have cameras that are not the best. There is Huawei, Honor and Vivo. These companies are superior to Samsung. The last great camera from Samsung in the Galaxy K Zoom phone was excellent, but now I don't see it as enjoyable. Apple and Sony meet in the color standard. As for Samsung, I don't know because the colors of its screen do not resemble the colors of the iPhone screen or even Huawei. In the case of playing a movie with Dolby Vision technology, you can notice the convergence between Apple and Huawei. As for Samsung, it has its own color mixture. From my point of view, Samsung has suffered in displaying Netflix videos for the past two years, for example, unless it is HDR. As for regular video, you will notice color breaks because I see a defect in the brightness system of Samsung screens, so how about the camera sensor?

The world of iOS and technology

Sorry if I'm off topic
But I remembered to fix a problem that was annoying users.
In the latest update of iOS, the problem is that when we update the iPhone to any update, Bluetooth works automatically. Now I have tried updating two of my devices, and Bluetooth will not work automatically.
I have a feature to suggest to Apple.
To add a feature within the accessibility called head tracking. When the feature is turned on when a specific person calls you, you can shake your head to say no or yes. This feature is present in Apple headphones and is not present in the iPhone. We hope that Apple will respond in iOS 19.

Frankly, my understanding of this article is that Apple and Samsung have something in common that they will work on, but what it is, I do not know. I prefer competition between Apple and Samsung to become stronger between the two parties. Frankly, I am against this cooperation.

Hello Saad Al-Dosari44 🙋‍♂️, We completely understand your feelings, but it seems that you have understood the article correctly. There is a joint cooperation between Apple and Samsung in developing camera sensors for upcoming iPhones 📸. While these alliances may seem strange at first, they come from the logic of trade, as each party seeks to benefit from the strength of the other. Cooperation between competitors is nothing new in the world of technology. Of course, this does not mean that the competition between Apple and Samsung will disappear, but rather it will remain and strong as it is 🥊. However, these steps only show how complex business blocs are in the world of technology! 🌐🤝
